An end of block, refurbished one bed first floor apartment with a good size balcony, offering a wonderful panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean, and just a comfortable 6 or 7 minute walk from the sea-front with its shops, restaurants, promenade and miles of sandy beach. There is a Spa supermarket at the entrance to the complex, and a car-hire facility within 20 yards of the entrance. The whole complex is in first class condition, and is only a 10 minute drive from the airport. Please note that smoking is not permitted in the apartment only outside on the balcony. Sorry, but adults only, with no same sex groups under 25 years of age.
When we arrived it was late Vinka met us we had a hire car and parked at the rear of the complex we found the apartment very clean the bed comfortable although the Pillow's were a little firm the views from the balcony were amazing. It should be mentioned that there a lot step's 81 coming up from the front not so many coming from the rear entrance fortunately this became less of a problem as we got used to the step's ample parking at the front and the back.Very handy supermarket at front if you want to do a big shop we found the newly opened lidl shop good value.
The downsides are the TV we consider ourselves averagely fit pensioner's with average hearing the TV was impossible to hear we purchased a 4metre earphone extension lead and with the use of a splitter we used our airplane earphones.
We found that the hot water was hit and miss 12noon or around 5pm for hot water.
Everything else was acceptable it is ideally positioned for resteraunts and shop's bar's
It would benefit from a four slice toaster a larger TV set or soundbar and if the set top box worked and was connected and tuned in it would be 5stars.

what can I say - great apartment - fantastic views-
the location is top notch and just above the spar- its 2 minutes to the front and loads of bars/restaurant- great beer o'clock bar 1 minute call Bogarts.. so its got everything- the apartment itself- is clean moden and wifi- we have been 2 years on the trot and booked again for next year- there are a few steps up to apparment but that's what gives you that great view - stunning- pool is quiet clean and loads of sunbeds- we get picked up from the airport and dropped back by vinka great service- the best apartment on the island.. xxx
We have just returned home from a two week stay in this lovely home from home apartment ,we found it had everything you needed even a washing machine the apartment was very clean and well maintained with a huge double bed and the view from the balcony was to die for it is only a short walk to the sea front with plenty of shops bars and resturants the agent vinka was very friendly and helpful we will be coming back again as soon as we can
We stayed in this apartment (Atalaya Apartment, Puerto de Carmen, Lanzarote) 120A in the upper complex for 19 days in May 2015, these apartments are let via the owners or their agents as they are now not on tour operators books, we have stayed in the Atalaya apartments before and they use solar power to heat the water for showering and washing it was nice to see that this is more effective in the summer months as it is a bit hit and miss over the winter months when there is not as much sun, it was a nice clean apartment with fresh floor tiles with a fully tiled bathroom with a washing machine, the apartment has panoramic views out towards the sea and is a very quit complex, it has easy access to the front “Strip” and all the restaurants. In this apartment you do not have a maid service or change of bedding on a weekly basis as you clean the apartment and change and wash your own bedding which is provided during your stay to suit your own requirements.
We found for us that the apartment would benefit from a few additions, such as a guest information pack containing “The Internal Rules of the Community Owners and operating instructions of the Washing machine (you may want to use the other settings other than the quick wash option given), also the worktop Oven and the Microwave if you require to use them, and a new smoke alarm (which had had the battery disconnected and sounds all the time when reconnected it has been like this for some time by the amount of dirt that fell out of it on opening), also the bedroom would benefit from a blackout blind as the morning sun shines through the curtains and the outside security light which comes on/off when guests are coming in during the night also shines through the curtains, the Towels could also do with upgrading as some are very thin and some stained. It should cost you no more than 15 Euro’s in a taxi from the airport. It is a pity that the agent did not turn up to pick up the apartment keys on our departure.
Having said all that the apartment suited us for what we were looking for but would be better with the few improvements mentioned.

We know the area very well and would not hesitate to stay here again.
We found the apartment very comfortable with all home from home comforts. The complex has a lovely pool area and is very peaceful. there are many great restaurants close by and you are spoit for choice.

Minimum stay is 7 days, but we are flexible over and above the initial time. Your flight details will be required to make sure that you are met at the entrance.

A deposit of £100.00 per week is required to confirm the booking, with the balance due 2 weeks before the arrival date at the apartment.
