My husband and I recently stayed at this beautiful 1st floor apartment. Luca very kindly collected us from Pisa airport and drove us to his property. It was a good size and spotlessly clean. I particularly enjoyed the large outside terrace. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a meal or two. The location was perfect for walking to the beach or for a morning coffee and pastry. The restaurants that we visited in the square were very good with loads of fresh seafood on the menus. There was a lovely restaurant right on the beach at the harbour where we could enjoy lunch outside with an enjoyable house wine or Italian beer. On arrival Luca gave us a quick guided tour of Vada, showing us the supermarket, bakers and some of the restaurants. He couldn't have been more helpful. We were told about the gelato shop at the end of the road on the corner heading towards the beach. We stopped twice a day to try out a different flavour of the most beautiful ice cream I have ever tasted.

This is the first time we have ever been to Italy and what a great place to start. The village is so laid back, the people are so nice and the food is fabulous! We had a complete rest and we will look forward to returning there sometime soon.

Luca and his wife definitely did their best to make us feel very welcome and I would recommend this place to stay when visiting Vada.

We Only Stayed One Night

  • 1 of 5

I find it hard to reconcile the wonderful reviews given for this apartment with the one we found on arrival on 18th May this year. The apartment was not clean, the shower was really dirty, the bidet was cracked, and there were clothes stored in the bedroom. The china didn't match, there were no instructions for the equipment, e.g. t.v., washing machine - I could go on!!! As for the noise from the traffic on the Via Aurelia at the back of the property - it was deafening and continued all night long! I hope that the owners have now rectified those things that could be rectified - albeit not the traffic noise! Needless to say, we only stayed one night!

Highly recommended

  • 4 of 5

The property was very clean, welll maintained and spacious. It was extremely well equipped if you wanted to self cater. Plenty of space outside for eating on large balcony. The owners could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

Vada has a glorious beach and good restaurants, shops & supermarkets all within walking distance. Local buses & trains cheap and gave excellent access to regional attractions.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

25th wedding anniversary

  • 5 of 5

We were met by our host who was very friendly and showed us around the apartment and explained about the variety of amenities and restaurants within the village. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Communication was no problem at all. Everything was as described on the website. The apartment was very spacious, very clean and well kept as was the outside area. Shops and amenities were within 4 minutes walk which was also accurately described. The beach which was spotlessly clean was appx 10 minutes from the apartment. It is very well situated for anyone wanting to visit the many beautiful towns and villages in Tuscany either by car or train. From the information provided by Luca and Susanna we were able to visit Florence by train as this was recommended to be the easiest form of transport to that particular city. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. All of the above helped to make our 25th wedding anniversary a very happy and memorable one.

Fantastic Week in Vada!

  • 5 of 5

What can we say? We thoroughly enjoyed our fantastic and relaxing week at this apartment. This is a great place to unwind with everything you could need. The terrace is a lovely place to relax, have breakfast / lunch and had the sun all day until around 8pm. There is a main road next to apt. but did not bother us at all. Large supermarket across the road and 10 min walk to a lovely beach / 5 minutes walk to restaurants and a few bars .. also.. the best Gelato we have every eaten!

Things we enjoyed:

* Bolgheri - great day out and had lovely long lunch with wine in historic Tuscan village and wine tasting

* Castiglioncello - lovely typical Italian seaside town (you can get the bus outside the apt- 15 mins) La Lucciola restaurant can't come more highly recommended - THE best meal of the holiday!

* The beach - v. relaxing

Luca and Susanna were wonderful in terms of communicating with us. Luca very generously picked us up in Vada and dropped us back to Pisa a week later. Also offered us advice on days out and drove us around Vada, showing us where everything we could need was located. There is also good internet connection at the Apt.

Thank You both for a lovely break.

Absoultely Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This was a dream holiday for my partner and I. Luca and Suzanna couldn't have been more helpful right from our initial enquiry, they gave us lots of information and replied promptly and fully to all my questions, and there were lots! On arriving at Pisa airport, Luca picked us up and took us to the apartment, he also drove us around Vada and showed us where everything was, supermarket, tourist information, restaurants and bars, beach, really kind of him. On arriving at the apartment, I was gobsmacked! It is absolutely gorgeous, really well equiped and beautifully clean. Again, Luca got us settled in then left me his mobile number and let us start our holiday. Vada is a lovely little town, if you're looking for the Real Italy, it's perfect! It also makes a really good base for seeing the Tuscan coast, I only wish we'd had more time. Big hand also for the ladies in the tourist information office who spoke perfect English and were incredibly helpful making sure we made the best of our time using buses and trains. The bus stop was right outside the aprtment and the train station about 20mins walk. The only thing that might put someone off is that the road adjacent to the apartment is quite busy but please don't let it, I was concerned about it when we first arrived but it wasn't an issue at all and actually meant that we had great access to everything. We easily got to Pisa and Florence on the train and visited lots of lovely places closer by jumping on and off the bus. The beach at Vada is great and perfect for swimming but i recommend taking the 40 min walk out of town and along the track through the forest to the White Beach, stunning and the water beautiful, incredibly clean.

All in all, having never been to Italy before, we couldn't have chosen better, we got to see and do so much, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly and Luca and Suzanna were the perfect hosts with a beautiful apartment, thank you for a wonderful holiday

The apartment is located at a walking distance far from the sea through a cycle track (few minutes by foot). Vada is in very good position for road connections with access to the National road Aurelia and near to the National road 206 and to the A-12 motorway Genova-Rosignano Marittimo tollbooth. From the Owner

The apartment is nice and comfortable and everything you need is near because of its central position, restaurants, beaches, boats, marketplace, local activities, attractions and talasso resort Spa. There are many beautiful places to visit around the property. The truth is that when I go to my apartment I prefer to stay in the terrace and enjoy a dinner outside, looking at the stars.
