Very very nice

  • 5 of 5

Quiet and very clean, and basically fully furnished for a brief stay. My wife said the bed and pillows were fantastic, we just moved on to a vrbo in Dublin where we wish we had a better mattress! Fully satisfied. The only negative comment my wife could make is "wish he had a better vegetable peeler", so if that is the only negative, you will enjoy renting the Kerrigan Cottage.

Nice Quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has everything you need for a nice quiet getaway. Very comfortable for a couple or small family. You are close enough to the city of Donegal and other areas, but far enough away that you feel like you are on your own. We did a lot of driving around the area and found some nice beaches, waterfalls, and lots of cattle.

Honeymoon Week in an amazing cottage

  • 5 of 5

First impressions - AMAZING! What a beautiful cottage. Just perfect for a couple looking to de-stress and unwind after two years of wedding planning. We were greeted by Alasdair, who is a really lovely gent and he gave us great information on the area. The attached shed area had a washing machine and dryer and enough space to securely lock our bikes away. Great location, literally in the middle of no where. Not ideal for wifi addicts, as you wont find any around the cottage. (nearest wifi spot is The Reelings bar, about 20 minutes walk down the hill). The kitchen facilities are fantastic, everything you could possibly need is there. The log fire is just perfect for a night in with a dvd, blanket and cup of hot chocolate. Cottage heats up really quickly as well so added bonus there. Referring to the picture of the room with flowery wall paper, the bed has been changed to a massive king size bed....huge and so comfortable. There's a post office about 5 minutes down the road from the cottage where you can get your essentials and meet some very friendly locals. The town of Ballybofey is a good 90 ish minutes walk, quiet roads most of the way. Ballybofey town has aldi's, lidl, McConnell Meats butchers (highly recommended), cafes, anything you need, you don't need to go far. The Hotel Villa Rose is superb for dinner, reasonably priced, amazing food and great service. Overall if we could give the cottage/area more than five stars, we would! Absolutely amazing holiday and best break we have had to date. :)

Cozy cottage

  • 3 of 5

A cottage with character in a beautiful surrounding! It is a very quiet location, a good place to come to rest. It is a central location in Donegal, a good base to discover this beautiful county. For us, 3 adults, it was big enough. but probably for more people the living room is a bit small. We really enjoyed our stay. Seamus, thank you very much for your hospitality!
