Cottage in Beadlam Nawton, Nr. Helmsley, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire, England - Quiet Location, Off The A170 In A Village 3 Miles From The Towns Of Helmsley And Kirkbymoorside
Originally part of an 18th century farmhouse. It has since been converted to offer all modern amenities, including double glazing and gas-fired central heating and yet retain its charm and character. There are oak beams, internal stone walls and log fire. Cosy in winter and charming all year. There is a small enclosed garden. This is not a working farm and is highly suitable for dog owners (at no extra charge) and dog walking locally. There is off-road parking for 2 cars beside the cottage, There are many places to visit, including Castle Howard, gardens, abbeys and beautiful villages, including Hutton-le-Hole, Goathland (Heartbeat village) and the North York Moors steam railway, not forgetting the coastal villages of Robin Hood's Bay,Runswick Bay, and Staithes. The fishing towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington are within easy reach. The ancient city of York is about 40 mins. by car.

Townend Cottage Beadlam Nawton
Lovely spacious, comfortable cottage in a rural area, lovely garden and situated in an ideal spot for touring East Yorkshire, Thornton Le Dale, Whitby, Scarborough, Dalby Forest, Ampleforth and many more all places within easy reach. Very friendly and helpful 'caretakers' if needed, all in all a great week of pure peace for us.
Activity and Interests
There is an hourly bus service between Helmsley and Scarborough, but the use of a car is advisable.
Nearest shops are in Helmsley (3 miles) and Kirkbymoorside (3 miles)
There are several cafés, restaurants and pubs in most of the local villages.
