Detached 3 Bedroom Villa With Own Pool Mature Tropical Gardens Near Dalyan River

Overview

Property

Updated: 28-Nov-2016
Villa in Dalyan, Aegean Region, Turkey - Peaceful Location Very Near River, 20 Minutes By Frequent River Boats To Iztuzu Beach, Same By Dolmu

Bes Kizlar was built in 2007 to a high standard on land we had bought in the desirable Maras residential area. Maras Mah is on a lovely bend of the river set away from the main street of the town but within easy strolling distance of the restaurants, shops and harbour. There are several rustic jetties nearby with stunning views of the rock tombs and some nearby little riverside boutique pensions you can visit for a Turkish breakfast or a Raki by the river! Bes Kizlar has a romantic mature garden with shady sitting areas and is full of tropical plants, tall palms, banana, and pomegranate trees. There is a large covered dining terrace with mountain view, seating for 8 and a barbecue fireplace, all enclosed by a wrought iron balustrade with gates to help keep toddlers safe from the pool area. The villa has contemporary decor and furnishings, 3 bedrooms, all with lovely views, (2 of the rock tombs) and an open plan living room/kitchen/dining room with French doors to terrace.

The villa has Wifi and a satellite TV package with some English programmes and films.

About the Owner

We have been very privileged to have lived in this beautiful Devon river valley for about 25 years. We have managed to raise 5 daughters in this time without contemplating serious self harm- which we consider quite an achievement! Crannacombe is the home of a long established herd of South Devon cows and their calves. We also established Heron Valley organic Cider and Apple Juices on the farm to utilize the apple orchards here. We are lucky that all our girls share our love of this area- so much so that they have remained either in this valley or very close by. We love this location, we are within easy reach of myriad stunning and unspoiled beaches, beautiful country and coastal walks and interesting towns and pretty villages, e.g. Salcombe, Dartmouth, Totnes and Hope Cove.

Guestbook comments from the owner

1.Our best holidays have been spent in this Villa. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the Villa is beautiful: well appointed and spacious with a lovely garden and swimming pool. It is ideally situated in a quiet part of Dalyan, but within easy walking distance of the centre. There is so much to see and do in the local area, we just have to keep coming back!- The Montague family, South Devon.

2.I had a fantastic holiday at Villa Bes Kizlar- perfect location, an easy five minute walk to the town centre yet in a quiet plot with amazing views of the mountains and Rock Tombs! The Villa itself is well presented, comfortable and has everything you could need inside and out, but the tropical garden and private pool really make this a special place to stay.

I couldn't recommend this highly enough.- Katherine Masters, London.

Wonderful, relaxing villa in a beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time here. A truly lovely villa in a quiet, stunning location.

We have been to Dalyan a few times and for once thought we would try a villa instead of the normal hotel we go to and just loved it. This end of Dalyan is far prettier and quieter than the other end we usually go to, also being fairly near to the centre of town which was great.

There was an abundance of lovely restaurants to choose from as well as two local shops which came in very handy. We would love to return and certainly will one day. Thank you.

Fantastic villa!

  • 5 of 5

Bes Kizlar was everything we wished for and more. Comfortable, stylish, clean and well maintained, the rooms were spacious and, despite the heat outside, cool and airy. The pool was a big hit with our girls, and the terrace and beautiful gardens were ideal for evening barbecues and late breakfasts. Location wise, the villa is perfect - a short, pretty walk into town, and, if you rent a car, within easy reach of beautiful beaches and the most dramatic scenery we've seen for a long time. Definitely the best villa we've ever stayed in, anywhere - thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your appreciative review. It is a stunning area, full of wildlife which can be viewed from the numerous water taxi boats that go through the reed beds to the Turtle(Iztuzu) beach. Even going by the numerous dolmus to theTurtle beach is a fabulous ride seeing beautiful scenery along the way. As you hired a car you explored all the nearby coastline and into the mountains behind Dalyan so I expect you saw a lot of interesting little villages and enjoyed " off the beaten track" experiences. we have been going there 25 years and still find new places to see!

Excellent villa in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

From our first contact with the owners we received a faultless service and assistance. Having stayed at the owners cottages in Devon we had high expectations about this villa in Dalyan and we were not disappointed!! There is always some concern with photographs of holiday villas that it has been staged and won't live up to the amazing photographs... I am pleased to say that this villa did live up to the photographs. In fact, it exceeded them.

The villa is managed by Kaunos villas, and they were superb. The collection from Dalaman airport was seamless to the villa. The representative came round the following morning at the exact time he said. He offered us general advice and guidance and provided his mobile number, nothing was too much trouble and we did speak to him during our stay and found him to be great.

The location is superb. We went as a family of four, 2 adults, a 4 year old and a 1 year old, and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The locals were all friendly and welcoming. The villa had everything we could have wanted for our stay.

We have no hesitation in recommending this villa to friends and family and are intending to return next year.

Blissful Villa in Dalyan

  • 5 of 5

Loved this villa - mature gardens and private around the pool thanks to the extra wall the owners have put in. Well appointed and everything thought of. There was even a hair dryer too. Kept clean, neat and tidy everywhere thanks to the owners local agents who picked us up on time, made sure we knew everything we needed and were on hand should we need anything. As we were just girls I really appreciated having an alarm system in the villa too. Cannot wait to return there. Have been to Dalyan many times and this was one of the best experiences.

Sheer perfection!!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this villa for 7 days and on arrival was expecting that the actual villa would look slightly shabbier than the pictures. I was SO wrong. The pool was perfect, the villa spacious, the rooms dreamy and the bathrooms spotless. We received a wonderful welcome brief which included handy tips for our stay at the villa, local amenities and of course an introducing box to read at our leisure which had a hand written letter explaining what to do and where to eat. The bookshelf had a great selection and of course there is a TV there. The daily visit from the pool man was great because at least we knew the creepy crawlies were all gone and the pool had been treated. The gardener kept the grounds looking georgeous. The best thing was the working BBQ so we could dine by the pool. The most convenient was the washing machine! All we had to do was relax! A wonderful villa, thank you!!!!!!

Location

From the Owner

We fell in love with Dalyan when we came on it by chance when exploring Turkeys stunning and green Turquoise coast over 20 years ago. Only 25 minutes from the airport it remains pretty much the same 60s feeling laid back atmosphere place we found years ago with lovely friendly locals. It had and still has a very ahead of its time attitude of rejecting high-rise development and fiercely protecting its beautiful river, landscape and the stunning Turtle beach it is famous for. We have been coming all this time and still find new places to explore. There are beautiful wild flowers in the Spring, the storks soaring in the thermals and the wild turtles in the river and sea to watch out for.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Minibus , taxi or hire car 20-30minutes to Iztuzu (turtle beach)Similar time by numerous riverboats from Dalyan waterfront to Turtle beach. Stunning mountain scenery the road way and magical scenery the boat way weaving through the reed beds alive with egrets, turtles , storks, herons and numerous kingfishers. Iztuzu beach is a protected nest site of loggerhead turtles, you can always find a deserted stretch of fine sand and the view of surrounding mountains is heavenly.

Travel:

25 minutes drive from Dalaman airport. Car hire is recommended because of the fabulous area to explore but for 1 weeks holiday the water taxis and minibuses, very cheap to use and numerous in Dalyan, would supply most guests' need to explore. Or you can rent a boatman plus boat if you want to have your own private transport to the beach , to the hot spring and mud baths, or to the lake. They can cook for you on the boat for an extra fee. good car hire advised through our Dalyan agent

Distances:

Approx 600metre stroll to town centre 30 mins drive to Gocek, 50 mins drive to Fethiye. Opposite side of river from our house is ancient Lycian city of Caunos with amphitheatre, many archaeological ruins and of course the famous Rock Tombs. A row boat waiting at the tow-path near our villa will take visitors across to spend time on the site or it can be a stopoff on a riverboat cruise. There are lovely simple fish restaurants in the mountain ravines behind Dalyan, and fantastic food markets lo

Facilities

From the Owner

Our villa is perfectly situated in a quiet residential area very near the river but only a short level stroll to the town with its myriad restaurants and small shops. The villa is more screened from the road than most other villas as it has such a large verdant garden which has 2 distinct areas and a low wall between which affords privacy when sunbathing by the pool!We have an excellent company who look after the property and do transfers and showing in,/ key handling for our guests and will help with any genuine emergencies you may experience. Minor problems that may happen, e.g. light bulbs needing replacing, a dripping tap etc, can be reported at their office near Migros supermarket and be dealt with when convenient.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: There are several steps leading up to the large terrace of the villa where the entrance doors are. the stairs and pool surrounding area are marble so care must be taken when you have wet feet. We have a very large covered terrace off the villa living room/ kitchen with built/in barbecue/ fireplace and large table seating 8 in comfortable chairs. We have an average size swimming pool which is of course private to this property. A pool man visits daily to look after it. There are loungers for 6 people beside the pool and the pool is screened from the road by a wall and also the mature front garden area which is separate from the pool area .At the rear of the villa are some date palms, a screening hedge of palms, bananas and oleander and the clothes drying lines.
