Apartment The Old Village, Vilamoura, Central Algarve, Portugal - Beautiful Village Style Location, Close To The Marina, Golf Courses And 3 Communal Pools

This 2 bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor. It is open plan with a private patio and small garden which is south facing and ideal for outside dining. It has easy access to all the excellent facilities of the Old Village and it is ideal for the less mobile and/or young families. The Old Village is only 25 mins from Faro airport and is designed to reflect the 18th century style Portuguese houses – with cobbled walk ways with well established gardens that are maintained in a pristine condition. The complex is pedestrianized which lead to 3 swimming pools. There is a children’s play area, supermarket and various bars and restaurants which are open all day. There is also reassurance of 24 hr security. For keen golfers there are superb golf courses close by, with the Pinhal Course surrounding the complex. The apartment is 15 mins walk from the Marina and beach where there are lots of excellent restaurants bars and shops.

About the Owner

We are a family – Grandparents, husband and wife and 2 children aged 7 and 4. We have been coming to the Old Village for the last 15 years and have met other regular visitors which has enabled us to make long term friends whom the children have grown up with. We bought the apartment as the Old Village is a beautiful condominium with exceptionally well kept gardens and facilities with easy access to Vilamoura, the Marina and its lovely beaches.


Your apartment is very nice and had everything that we needed. We also really liked the Old Village complex. It was quiet (even round the pools), the grounds were beautiful and very well cared for, and the on site agents were helpful. Vilamoura itself is lovely and very easy to get to. - J.B. Surrey

Lovely , perfect location

Been going to Portugal for years and but have never stayed in the old village . It's beautiful and quaint with 3 pools and lots of choice of bars and restaurants. The roof top terrace bar is fab .

The apartment was nice , not modern but perfectly sufficient with 2 good size bedrooms .

Vilamoura marina is a 20min walk away and a beach on either side of the marina with beach bars

Perfect for a relaxing break.

We have stayed in The Old Village on three occasions, and this visit did not disappoint. We found the apartment had everything we needed and the extra bonus of a washing machine is great especially when traveling with two young children. The owner was efficient and replied promptly to all enquiries. The apartment had some toys that the children enjoyed and the kids TV channels were also a useful means of allowing the kids to have a bak from the midday sun.. Really recommend this apartment- the location is great.

Linda and I just wanted to say we had a wonderful time in the Old Village and your place is lovely. It was just what we wanted. The lady in the Old Village reception was helpful and informative. Once again thanks for all the help and info and I have already recommended your place to friends and family should they wish to go to Vilamoura.- N.C. Activity and Interests


The marina and beach are an easy 15 min level walk from the apartment. At the Marina there are facilities for boat trips, hire of jet skis, Para-gliding, sailing, deep sea fishing etc. The main Falasia beach is a large sandy beach where sun beds and parasols can be hired. As well as being accessible on foot, it can be reached by a regular bus service. If you rent a car, parking is available. Bars and restaurants are spread out along the beach.


The Old Village is 25km (25 mins by car) from Faro airport. Car hire is available but not essential. Airport transfer can be booked from the local agent on site at the Old Village


Quarteira is about 3km from the Old Village and is quintessentially Portuguese with a large market every Wednesday and an excellent fresh fish market. Vale do Lobo and Quinta Do Largo are c 20mins by car to further exceptional beaches and attractive mansions owned by the rich and famous. Albuferia is 10 mins by car and Algarve Shopping is 40 mins by car. There are a number of fun parks nearby, Water parks, a Zoo and Zoo Marine – transfers, taxis & tickets are available through the agent on site

The agent on site will be happy to help you with any information you need and they have an office within 100 yards of the apartment and will supply the entry key as well as:

- Arrange bed linen and towel changes every week (extra to be arranged with the agent and paid directly to them)

- Arrange car hire and/or airport transfers

- Arrange golf bookings at reduced rates and transport to the course if required

- Provide local information and maps

- Deal with any problems relating to the apartment

We also ask you that you do not smoke in the property

There are several bars and restaurants in the Old Village which supply breakfasts, full meals and simple snacks. The restaurants on site are Casa Da Lago (Mixed Menu), Princess Gardens (A la Carte), El Greko (Tapas) and various bars, Village Inn, Bar Nautica, Sports Bar, Bar O’Café. Other restaurants in the locality are typically Portuguese.

Booking Notes:
10% deposit required on bookings. Full payment is required 6 weeks prior to arrival. Add £25 per week if air conditioning is required. A security deposit of £50 cheque is required to cover breakages and loss/damage to air conditioning and TV controllers. That cheque will be destroyed after safe return of the house keys and inspection of the property by the agent.

Changeover Day:
Change over day can be flexible. The apartment is normally available after 2pm on arrival day and is to be vacated by 10 am on departure day. For early and late arrivals it may be possible to accommodate these depending on other bookings.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. We offer discounts for long winter lets and also Golfers who want to go away earlier in the year. Please contact to discuss. Payment can be made by cheque but if other options are required, please email us. Air Conditioning is an optional extra and costs £25 per week. Prices are inclusive of all Service Charges, Linen, Towels and weekly Maid Service. Additional towel and bed linen changes are available but this must be arranged with the agent.

Options available (at extra cost) such as children’s cots and high chairs. The whole apartment is air conditioned throughout for summer comfort. Outside: The Old Village condominium keeps the open areas maintained to an excellent standard. There are 3 communal pools with bar facilities at each. There is 24hr security on site.
