Our holiday home is ideally situated in Bolnuevo, near Puerto de Mazarron. A great location to access all the local amenities, including the golf course only 10 minutes up the road. Within walking to the beach, supermarket, beach shops, restaurants and bars. The apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom, lounge / diner, a kitchen, front terrace, rear terrace, shared pool and garden area, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Internet access is available free of charge at Helena's bar in Bolnuevo.

Hi my name is Max and my wife is Liz. We went to Spain in in 2003 on a deal with a property agent to look for our own holiday home. We really fell in love with the area and after three days we ended up buying the first property we had seen from plans. Two years later, I had to go to Spain on my own to collect the keys as Liz was 8 months pregnant with our first boy. We now have two boys, Zac age 9 and Sam age 8, we took Zac on his first visit to our apartment when he was only 3 months old and they have been going there twice a year ever since. The boys enjoy the pool or the beaches and we love the choice of beaches, restaurants and activities available.

"Great Villa"

We stayed in this apartment for a week in August.The apartment was lovely and clean,well equipped and well furnished,with also a really nice pool that was well maintained.

The location is great,beach,shops and good restaurants are minutes away and within walking distance.

Communications with the owner are excellent.

I would highly recommend this apartment without hesitation,

Cant wait to go again.

There are loads of reasons we chose the property we did and in the location it is in. We looked at other properties completed by the builder and the quality was superb. The design and layout of the property works really well. Enclosed front and rear patios and great access to the community gardens and pool area. We have been going there for 10 years now and we still comment on how happy we are with the choice of location. A few minutes walk to the nearest beach, restaurant, local shops and internet cafe with fresh bread for breakfast. A few minutes drive to loads more beaches, marinas and town of Puerto de Mazzaron. The views, beaches and local scenery are fantastic. Great access via motorways from Alicanti or Murcia airports and only 10 minutes from a golf club.

The area is very good for golfing, walking or cycling holidays.


The area of Murcia is in the Costa Calida region which roughly translates to Warm Coast. The coastline in this area is loads of beaches one after the other. The nearest beach is only 5 minutes walk away. The beautiful sandy beaches in the area are well maintained by the local authority and great for the kids. Bahia beach is our favourite and very safe for the children because of the gentle slope of the sea floor. A bar for food and drinks and taps to wash your feet.


We usually fly with Easyjet to Alicante or Ryan Air to Murcia (San Javier) airport, which ever is the cheapest at the time. Alicante is about 1 hr and 20 mins drive and Murcia is about 40 mins drive. The route from either is mainly motorways and very easy to find our property. Both airports have car hire available.

Corvera airport was due to open summer 2013 & will be about 30 mins drive away.


Sierra Espuna mountain is 1 hour away. You can drive to the top or park along the way and get out to explore.

The old town of Cartegena is 45 minutes away with it's old harbour and town walls, plus bustling town centre.

One water park 1 hour away,plus Terra Natura is 45 minutes away (water park and zoo).

A variety of market towns are within an hours' drive, so you could almost visit a market every day!

Further Details:

Two minutes from the front door is a mini supermarket.

At last count the local village of Bolnuevo has about 14 restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The local village also has a chemist, opticians, holiday shops & car hire. Evening entertainment & outdoor pool tables can be found at The Oasis bar.

There is also a fantastic fortification about a 30 minute drive north on the coast, which we have taken our boys to many times.

From the Owner

It is great being able to see the boys in the pool while we sit on the rear patio with a drink or prepare a salad in the kitchen for lunch. The pool and garden area are never over crowded and we have our own sun loungers to sunbathe by the pool. Our apartment is in the middle of the garden area, which makes it easy to nip inside for a cold drink from the fridge or use the toilet. The washing machine is handy for washing out the swim wear at the end of the day and a fixed washing line on the front patio dries our clothes in no time at all. The boys like to watch tv or put a dvd on while Liz and I get ready to go out for dinner. The air con in the lounge and bedrooms is great for keeping the apartment cool before bed time.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is ideally suited to 1, 2, 3 or 4 adults plus a baby/toddler who can still sleep in a travel cot (Up to 3 years old). The front & rear gates can be locked to keep children in the confines of the apartment / patios & the garden areas are enclosed by walls & locked gates. Outside: The front patio has a lockable gate and fitted washing lines. The rear patio has a lockable gate, two sun loungers, table and chairs with parasol for four people and access to the shared pool and garden area. There is a very large pool with steps into it at one end and a smaller pool for the younger ones with a depth of about 18-24 inches. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (For use in the apartment only) & bed linen are included in the price. Not changed during your stay unless requested when booking. Cleaning is done between bookings, a clean during your stay can be requested at the time of booking. Other: There is also a hair dryer. Vacuum cleaner.
