Apartment With Harbour Views, Right In The Heart Of Falmouth

Overview

Property

Updated: 25-Nov-2016
Apartment in Falmouth, Cornwall, England - Moments From Town Centre And 10 Minutes' Walk To Lovely Sandy Beaches. Good Public Transport Links

The perfect place for your seaside holiday, this first floor flat is both close to the water and right in the heart of Falmouth with fantastic views across the harbour to the Roseland Peninsula. Moments from the town centre this harbour-side flat is ideally located for restaurants, shops, beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Events Square. It's also a great base for exploring Cornwall by car, train, bus or on the excellent network of ferries that run from Falmouth. It sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms in a lovely Georgian residence. There is secure parking for 2 cars and free wi-fi access. With a fascinating history of pirates and smugglers, 21st Century Falmouth is a rather more civilised place for a holiday and offers something for all tastes and ages. Dominated by water, it's not surprising that Falmouth offers water activities galore, from sailing and surfing to fishing or simply taking a bucket and spade onto the town's beaches. Away from the water's edge Falmouth offers.

Short breaks of 3 nights or more are available between October and May. Contact us for a price, or check our web site www.harboursidefalmouth.com.

About the Owner

As a family we are increasingly enticed by the sea, whether for walking, swimming, sightseeing (or just gazing). Now our children are older we've graduated from buckets and spades to the exhilaration of body boarding and enjoying the local restaurants and pubs.

Fantastic Location, lots of space cannot fault it.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Falmouth for 10 days and got married during that time. With so many many family and friends travelling to Falmouth to celebrate with us, we were looking for our own oasis that we could relax in at the end of a day's socialising. And in 6 Bank House we found it, and just what we were looking for.

We had oodles of space for the 3 of us, space to entertain of an evening and have people over for a drink.

The flat is excellently located, with all the things you need for a week (or even 10 days) away. We didn't want for anything.

Myles and Janet even left us a congratulations card and a bottle of wine which was a lovely and unexpected touch.

This flat is everything we were after in a holiday let, and would highly recommend and return to again in the future.

Thank you so much for helping make our first few days as a married couple so relaxing and enjoyable.

Location

From the Owner

We've fallen in love with Cornwall and having an apartment there is a wonderful excuse for frequent visits. We have holidays when we get in the car and explore right down to the tip of Cornwall and the north coast, taking in gardens, houses, walks and pubs. More often than not, though, we spend our time around Falmouth on the beach, walking, reading, shopping, swimming and enjoying the local food. Falmouth provides such a great base. We enjoy the combination of access to the great outdoors (helped by the brilliant ferry network on the Fal river) and the convenience of town - in the evenings or on wet days - for eating out or visiting the fantastic little cinema.

Travel:

As well as good road access, Falmouth can be reached by train. A car is not essential during your stay as so much is on hand in Falmouth and there are good local bus services and an excellent ferry network (in season). Facilities

From the Owner

For us the location of the property is ideal, with easy access and parking. You can leave your car parked up for the week as so much is in walking distance, with rail, buses and ferry's only minutes away if we want to go slightly farther afield. There is a lot to be said for being able to go for a walk or out to eat in the evening without having to get in the car first. The apartment is really roomy and a pleasure to spend time in. The views of the harbour are great, and there is always something going on. In fact we find ourselves becoming strangely addicted to the web site detailing the harbour's shipping movements!
