Meribel, Morel, Altitude 1600, Rhone-Alpes, France - The Chairlift Is Literally A ‘Snowball Throw’ Away From The Front Door, Ski Home As Well

Ideally situated in Meribel at Altitude 1600 directly opposite the Morel chairlift. The lift is literally a ‘snowball throw’ from the front door and when the conditions are good you can ski back as well on the blue pisted Hulotte run. The Chairlift takes you directly to Altiport and onto the 3 valley links and there are bus stops right outside for the Free Meri-buses that run all day to and from the kids ski school at Rond Point, and the main lift station at La Chaudanne.

The apartment is small but well planned and equipped. It can sleep 4 comfortably with two separate sleeping areas. The building is in the traditional rustic Meribel Style and recent improvements include a balcony extension to enjoy the spring afternoon sun and a newly fitted kitchen. The apartment is on the first floor with easy to access to the ski locker. This apartment is our home from home and is equipped as such, we have unlimited Wifi included and all the UK Freeview TV channels.

We loved your apartment and thanks very much for letting us use it - it was so comfortable, cosy and conveniently located and the skiing in Meribel while we were there was wonderful - even some fresh snow occasionally ! We had a great week and really enjoyed chilling out watching some of your DVD s in the evening



Having a great time and love the flat, it is in an ideal position, and I feel very lucky to be here.

Absolutely delighted with the appartment. Perfect location right by the lift. Amazingly cleverly designed to incorporate everything you could possibly want and more. Cosy, bright, clean, convenient. We loved it and hope to be back next year. Highly recommended.

Superb accommodation

The information we were given before we arrived was excellent, we booked ski hire,lift passes and a taxi from the train station beforehand. The keys were left for us at a local resaurant and the lady there was ever so friendly and helpful. The apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It has been very well thought out, whilst it is compact there is plenty of storage space for everything. On the nights we ate in we really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen because every conceivable utensil was to hand. My past experience of self catering accommodation is that only the basics are supplied and cooking can be a challenge.

The location could not be better, across the road from a chairlift and ski back to the door at night. Whilst out of town its very easy to walk down at night and get the free bus home. We will book again.

Great apartment

The apartment is great. It looks exactly like it does in the pictures, modern and clean with everything you could need. With mountain biking trails 5 minutes from the door what more could you ask for. Lyndsay was amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. There was work going on near by and she was very up front and honest about it. The apartment is great value for money and I would recommend this to anyone.

The cosy apartment was very clean and well maintained with everything one would need. The owner was excellent and helpful in all communication and queries. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment to my friends. It is located by the Morel lift, so ski in ski out - Fabulous.

Spent a great week at Le Surf residence - well kitted out, very convenient for the slopes, spotless.

Small, well run apartment.

Responsive owners who dealt with all our queries swiftly and with patience.

Location

We bought the apartment in 2009 having previously rented it for 2 seasons. We loved the location, the views and the layout worked really well for us and our visitors.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Geneva, Chambery, Lyon at 150 Kilometres Nearest Train : Moutiers at 17 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : 3 good ones within at 200 Metres Nearest Ski : Morel Chairlift at 50 Metres Car: not necessary

Travel:

Airports – Lyon 2.5hrs, Geneva and Grenoble 2hrs, Chambery 1 hr

Buses to resort are available from all the airports during the ski season although we personally find Geneva is the easiest.

By Car – there is a very small allocated parking space which you are welcome to use and there is plenty of road-side local parking, once in resort you would rarely need to use the car so we advise parking up for the week. There is paid for underground parking at Rond Point and Chaudanne for €70 per week.

Further Details:

There is a supermarket just 100m up the road for fresh baguettes and croissant in the morning. There are also ski hire shops, two local restaurants & a take-away Pizza place. The town centre boutiques, bars and swimming pool are just a 10 minute stroll down the hill & the free buses run until 23:50 if you don’t want to walk back!

Meribel is affectionately known as the ‘heart of the 3 Valleys’ and continues to be extremely popular, recently the resort has made major investment in to the lift infrastructure, snow cannons and increased capacity. It is also a great base in the summer for walking, mountain biking and golf.

Booking Notes:
A non refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival. UK or FRENCH bank transfers or cheques only.

In addition a €300.00/£250 security & key deposit is payable 2 weeks before holiday - this is refunded fully within 2 weeks of rent period ending by bank transfer less any breakages, damages, losses or special cleaning and as long as all keys are returned.

All guests are responsible for their own personal and travel insurance

Changeover Day:
Saturday to Saturday - apartment will be available from 4pm on arrival date, and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure


Notes on prices:
Summer Season long or short stays are available on request, please enquire giving dates of interest and number of nights.

Winter season bookings are 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday.

We have made lots of improvements and now have a real home away from home in the mountains. The access for the lifts is great but it is also really convenient for the centre of town and the buses are great for getting around and getting the kids to ski school.
