2 Double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms on quiet development above town in prestigious Monte Dourado .Short walk to beach, and many excellent restaurants.

South facing apartment in small peaceful development on hill top position within prestigious Monte Dourado. Two double bedrooms, one en suite. Shower room. Both bathrooms are completely new (December 2016) Very well-equipped kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, fridge/freezer, micro-wave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, iron, etc. Comfortable living room seating six with dining area and French windows onto private terrace, with table and chairs, overlooking two pools, one shallow for children. There are five pools available close by. One of which is heated during the winter months There is a log burning enclosed fire for cool evenings in the late Autumn and Winter. Adjacent to tennis courts. Very short walk to market selling fresh produce, mini-market and restaurants. Off road parking close by. Lovely early in the Spring when the sun shines and the flowers lift the spirits, and in the Autumn when the sun still shines and winter in the UK is approaching. Very pleasant in the winter months too - enjoy a relaxing break away from the frost and snow ! Stroll back from the restaurant to a cosy log fire.

About Lee Lowther

We love visiting our holiday home which has been enjoyed by our family - grandparents, daughter and son-in-law and

three children (14, 10 and 5) - for six years. We are lucky to have found an excellent British couple who manage the property for us - so we are happy that we and our guests will always find everything in perfect order when we arrive.

We enjoy golf, walking and good food - all of which Carvoeiro offers in abundance. The children love the pool

directly outside the apartment, and we can watch them from our terrace, whilst supping a cooling glass of Vinho Verde.

Not having to use a car is a huge bonus. Restaurants are a feature of Carvoeiro and we like being able to walk down to the town in the evening. Beach, market, shops and restaurants are just a stroll away - easy

Why Lee Lowther chose Carvoeiro area

Carveiro is a delightful small town set around a beautiful

sheltered cove with rugged cliffs and several other beaches close by. The town has many very good places to eat, people are friendly, it isn't noisy - very suitable for older people in the winter and families in the summer

Because everything is within walking distance there is no need to hire a car, unless you wish to explore further. We use the local bus service, or one of the many local taxis.

There are lots of flights to Faro from UK airports and transfers from Faro to Carveiro are frequent and easy to arrange.

Our apartment is spacious for families and has direct access to the pools area. The development is a small semi-circle, just 12 apartments on two storeys - so it is friendly and never over-crowded. Just relaxing.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is comfortably furnished and well maintained and cleaned. We walk in and feel immediately at home.

Opening the french windows onto the terrace and looking out over the pools to the quiet, tree lined road beyond and to the tennis courts which lie immediately right - peace and calm return - our holiday begins. The property faces south, but because we are on the ground floor the upper terrace shields the interior from too much heat. So we can enjoy as much sun as we like by the pool or on our terrace, and retire to cool comfort when we've had enough ! Our managers, Mike and Emma, always leave a Welcome pack of necessities, and are then available day and night for any questions or problems - which we find, especially with the children, a real advantage.

10 minute walk to main Carveoiro beach. Sheltered cove with high cliffs. Boat trips to caves. Fishing trips. Loungers with shades available in the summer. Centre of town beside restaurants, coffee shops, bars, ice cream and Tourist Information and taxi rank. Other quiet beaches short walk/drive away.

Travel:

Faro airport, about 45 minutes away. Transfers and taxis readily available, or we can arrange. Use of car not necessary within Carvoeiro. For further exploring cars can be hired by the day. Local bus services frequent and easy. Plenty of taxis.

Distances:

Ten minutes to Lagoa, local administrative town. Ferragudo, Benagil - small coastal villages about ten minutes by bus, car or longer by cliff walk. Albufeira, Portimao, by the sea. Silves and Monchique up in the hills - all within easy reach by local bus.

Further Details:

Carvoeiro is well served by many excellent, varied restaurants, coffee shops and bars. It has several mini-markets, a good daily market selling fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and bread (short walk from apartment). There are several supermarkets- on the edge of the town (bus or taxi). Logs can be supplied for the fire in winter. There are several banks. Chemists, golf shops, an excellent English second hand bookshop, hairdressers and beauty

salons, travel and car hire - in fact most things one might need.

There are many Golf courses within easy reach - our locally based manager, Mike, plays and can give more information. Tennis courts adjoin the apartment Heated swimming pool for winter use.

. Fishing, boat trips, scuba diving, horse riding. Bikes for hire. Lovely cliff top walks. There is a Water Park with slides etc near by.
