Recently modernised villa with pool and great access to a quiet beach. This villa is one of eight unique villas that are situated on the beach front. It has plenty of sun loungers on terraces, a new swimming pool with optional safety barriers and outside wicker seating. The facilities include a fully equipped kitchen and air-conditioned bedrooms. There is a separate indoor dining area and lounge.

About Alistair Rothwell

This family owned holiday home over the last year has been expanded to include a fourth bedroom and a private swimming pool. Also the villa has been modernised throughout and 2013 is the launch year of the property to the rental market. The project has been managed by family members, Alistair and Nikie, and they manage the rental side of the property.

Nicki is a designer and therefore has had the major influence on the recent modernisation, where Alistair is an accountant so gets the less fun financial aspects.

The property has been in the family since 1977 as a holiday home. During this time the family has made many local friends.

Absolutely Fabulous!

Hornblower was all we hoped it to be an more. Travelled with family ages ranging from 22 to 83. The property was extremely well equipped with attention to detail and fabulous views. The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival as was the pool. Location brilliant within easy walking distance of a selection of bars and restaurants. The owner was extremely helpful. We hope to visit again - would have loved to have stayed for much longer than a week. We have already recommended Hornblower to our friends.

As my son said"a taste of paradise"

We first stayed in Santo Tomas 34 years ago with two small children.

We came back and stayed in a hotel for an anniversary.

We came back again with family and grandchildren and stayed in two villas ,two years on the run.

Then this year we stayed in Hornblower.

A villa virtually on the beach, a pool warmed by the sun all day, a lovely interior with all you require, shade when needed, restaurants in an easy stroll, paradise indeed.

The owner was easily contactable and answered all questions.

As my grandson said on landing at Gatwick "can we go back tomorrow Grandma".? A sentiment held by us all!

Location Location Location

We stayed at Hornblower House with another family of four this August. The villa was very well equipped with a fabulous Weber barbecue making self-catering a doddle. The villa itself is a great size for two families and well laid out. The pool was a decent size and we were a stone's throw from a clean, sandy beach with warm, crystal clear water - shallow enough for the children to paddle and swim safely. The seafront promenade running from one end of Santo Tomas to the other was a particular delight - especially at night when it was illuminated. Overall, the location was perfect for an easy relaxed holiday with kids.

A perfect beach holiday

A lovely villa situated as close to the beach as you can get. Within easy reach of several shops for food and beverage and plenty of restaurants within walking distance if you don't feel like cooking. Lovely walks along the side of the beach both during the day and evening and the sea is very safe. Overall, for anyone wanting a holiday villa next to a beach this is ideal.

We (two families) stayed at Hornblower in late June/early July 2015. Location is stunning. Right on the promenade/beach but with the patio/pool area sufficiently raised/screened to keep it private, we had a wonderful time alternating between swimming in the pool, running along the promenade, and jumping in the blue sea. There were lots of envious glances from those staying in nearby hotels as the wandered past in the evening. Everything is within walking distance and a handy hotel next door for a quick lunch. Aircon in the bedrooms was a godsend given how hot this summer has been (Menorca, not UK!). Location and views are first class and we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Fabulous beach villa.

A lovely villa, well equipped, clean and beautifully situated on the sandy beach.We enjoyed a relaxing week and spent a lot of the time in the pool or on the beach under the umbrellas that are available for daily hire along with kayaks or pedaloes.

Varied food at the local beach restaurant, Es Brucs, well frequented by locals and good choice of nearby supermarkets and cafes--all very friendly.

We have been spoilt for future villa holidays....thank you.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday leaving by 10am and arriving from 2pm. Friday can be considered depending on other bookings already taken.

30% of the rental price needs to be paid to secure the booking. The balance plus a refundable damages deposit of £250 is due no less than 8 weeks before travel.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.

Other: Includes room towels and bamboo air fresheners The property will have initial provisions/welcome box upon arrival i.e. bread, coffee, loo roll per toilet and biners in bins +more.
