Yery,Disapointed whith accomodation.

  • 1 of 5

Whilst Entering the cottage over a long drive first impressions seemed ok.However over unpacking our suit cases, we noticed all of upstairs was not at all clean, cobwebs were available by the bundle which was a problem hanging up shirts In a wardrode full on cobwebs.

Dust was available and plentiful along with the grime to go with it,.unfortunatly a plagued wasps nest wasn't a dear delight having to kill wasps in the bathroom before use as the bathroom window didnt shut properly. If ur looking for a holiday where you don't mind a bit of dirt dust and grime then this is the place for you.happy holidaying

Owner's Response: I am so sorry you were disappointed with your accomodation. We live in the adjoining cottage and when you brought the wasps nest to our attention we dealt with it as quickly as we could. The council gave us a four day timescale before they could come and deal with it and so we endeavored to deal with it ourselves. The council eventually came and It took four days for the nest to die (it was huge). Spiders are a problem in country cottages. I have spoken to the cleaning staff and they admit they may have missed webs in the three large fitted wardrobes. They only have 4 hours to change the linen on 5 beds and clean 5 rooms and two bathrooms. I apologize on their behalf, I am surprised at your comments. The bathroom window has been checked and it worked perfectly. When you left the property with your family none of these problems were discussed. In fact your family all said they had enjoyed there stay with us and made no negative comments. This is the only negative review we have received in four years and I am sorry if your holiday was in any way impaired. In the hot weather the windows are left open and when the farmers are working in the adjoining fields we do have a problem with settling dust. I dispute your comments about grime and the cleaning staff are outraged.

Comfortable family home with plenty of space and perfect for small children

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need for both adults and children.

There was lots of space for children to play inside and the outside garden and field were lovely. We had so much fun exploring and playing in the field and picking plums, apples and pears in the orchard too.

The owners were very helpful and friendly, but not at all intrusive, and gave us a wonderful box of duplo, cars and little people for our little one to play with whilst we were there.

Thanks for a great little holiday !

Cottage was spacious yet cosy. We all loved the Sun Room. All facilities to hand. Couldn't fault.

  • 5 of 5

We were welcomed by the owner, Elizabeth, and she showed us around the cottage. My family and I were delighted with it from the get-go. The property was spacious with plenty of room in the kitchen/diner, sun room, dining room/lounge. There were three bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. The cottage had all the mod cons expected today. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners - even setting up a video room for the children and offering us giant lego for their amusement. The cottage was a short drive (1 mile) from Upton-upon-Severn where we visited family and Upton itself is wonderful to visit.

What a lovely cottage.

We stayed here with our ten month and the owners could not have been more helpful. Even bringing toys for him to play with. The cottage was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We would definitely be going back!

Very comfortable and well maintained cottage. Just as described a quiet place to get away from the business of life. It was just what we were looking for. Hoping to go again.
