Warm and cosy

Very comfortable and warm accommodation. Great to have parking available in such a central location in Sherborne within easy walking distance to the centre of town. We would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful accommodation , with great care and attention to every detail to make the stay perfect .

We stayed in Sherborne for a 4 night midweek break, arrival instructions were excellent .We were treated with fresh fruit, scones and everything we needed for teas and coffees on arrival. The property is well situated for walking into the village. The decor is beautifully done with taste and comfort in mind .We travelled out each day to various coastal resorts to explore the area , we were lucky to have beautiful weather. Great break.

Immaculate cottage in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The Coach House has stylish decor, and has recently had a new dining room added where we enjoyed our breakfast. A secure parking space is available in the courtyard, off the street. The owners live next door, but there were no issues with privacy.

The Coach House is just a few minutes walk from the beautiful town of Sherborne, where there are many excellent cafes and restaurants. The cottage owners provided very good suggestions of where to eat in the town; we particularly enjoyed the Indian restaurant called Paprika. Sherborne station is always within very easy walking distance, allowing days out without the need for a car.

All in all an excellent relaxing break in a very well appointed cottage in a brilliant location.

A charming cottage in a beautiful part of the country.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was well equipped and ideally situated, just a few minutes walk into town.

The property was exceptionally clean and a welcoming. Fresh flowers and a platter of scones, clotted cream and jam were a pleasant surprise on our arrival.

Highly recommend this property.

A week in the Sherborne Coach House

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay in this immaculate and beautifully furnished property. Last year I commented upon the lack of a receptacle in the shower to hold toiletries: this has been addressed. The additional room is excellent and compensated a little for the dreadful weather!

We dined at The Green, The Dining Room at the Britannia Inn and Tamburino: all excellent venues.

The Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford is well worth a visit.

The owners are discreetly available and we feel a third visit may loom!!

Of course we would recommend it: it is better than any cottage previously taken in the UK or Gite in France.

Just as good the second time!

  • 5 of 5

This was a return visit to this lovely 'secret' place, and it did not disappoint us. Even better, a new dining area has been opened up, full of light and with a great view of the garden. We had a welcome cream tea on arrival, and everything we needed was to hand. This property makes a very good base for exploring west Dorset or South Somerset, or just for enjoying the historical sights in Sherborne, where there are also several excellent places to eat. We would recommend it to anyone!
