1 Bedroom Villa in Dolores, Costa Blanca South, Spain - Just under a 15 Minute Drive To Beautiful White Sandy Beaches Of La Marina And Guardamar

Well maintained detached villa with PRIVATE pool a few steps away, WITHIN a secure gated 2000sqm plot, Set in mature gardens close to the main house which is mostly unoccupied, and surrounded by open farmland with spectacular mountain views. 1½ km drive to the local village of Dolores where there are sports activities, bars and restaurants as well as shops and a beautiful local church. The bungalow is in a small gated community consisting of 4 properties. Rooms are well proportioned as well as having hot and cold air-conditioning. The floors are beautifully tiled and the bungalow has been newly decorated. There is British satellite TV (SKY) and Wi-Fi connection is available, sorry this is a non smoking property & no dogs, ample parking.

This is a very clean, well equipped bungalow in the middle of farmland with wonderful views. The gardens & the pool are well maintained.

An ideal place to stay for a peaceful break, especially for animal lovers.

All the neighbours were friendly & helpful, the nearby supermarket provides everything you could need.

We visited the nearby dogs home to walk the dogs & were welcomed by the friendly staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will definitly be returning in the near future.

I felt a bit apprehensive, but we found a little gem very special lovely place, a car is needed but supermarket is very close & not expensive. Everything needed for a self catering hol, the gardens are beautiful the pool very clean, it is the perfect spot for an away from it all hol. barbequing & having a wine or 2 we had the pleasure of meeting john & Lorna briefly, who were so welcoming. Relaxing charming experience, we have booked for next year, you will be drawn back, thanks. D

Relaxing Break away from it all

A lovely bungalow with all the facilities, didn't need for anything i.e. towels, washing facilities and toiletries. A lovey pool area with plenty of sunbeds and chairs where we spend many an hour chilling out. Beautiful farmland area with lovely mountain views. Headed towards the mountains one day and found the road signs easy to follow. Thanks to Rona who directed us to the supermarkets, she was warm and welcoming. If we came back to Delores again we would definitely stay here. Thanks Lorna and John

Private and relaxing

Enjoyed a week long stay in this lovely little bungalow. The gardens and pool area give lots of privacy and there are plenty of ares to sit out and enjoy the weather!

The pool in particular is great, decent size and private.

The bungalow has everything you need for your stay, lots of towels for personal use and for the pool. Also lots of little extras such as coolbox and BBQ are there.

The location is a short drive from Dolores, which has most things you need for a short stay. The owners have included a couple of menus from local restaurants in their welcome package.

Overall, a good place for exploring the area, close to beaches and towns and plenty to make your stay comfortable.

Wonderful place for a totally relaxing break

Arrived to find the bungalow was actually in the grounds of the owners villa which isn't totally clear from description but didn't make any difference to us, actually was lovely to speak to John, have him show us around and inform us where to find everything in the local area whilst providing a refreshing drink after our journey. Lovely touch to have some essential supplies in the fridge on arrival, both bungalow & pool area as described, amazingly warm & good sized pool much appreciated due to heatwave whilst we were there, John kindly added an extra parasol for some much needed shade. Would recommend La Marina beach, beautiful white sand with its beds, parasols & beach bar, only a 15 minute car ride away (again nice touch to have a cool box provided to take food/drinks with us to beach) and our favourite restaurant was Philippe Y Francine on the La Marina urbanization, both found thanks to directions from John. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a get away from it all break yet with all amenities a short drive away. Many thanks to John & Lorna for a fab holiday.

Great half term break

We had a great stay over half term. The kids loved the pool & playing hide & seek in the gardens. Guardamar beach was only 20mins away and La Marina was only 25. Local supermarket had everything we needed for our BBQs most nights. Loved the mountain views at sunset. Free Internet & Sky TV kept us in touch with the UK. Highly recommend

A well equipped little finca in a neat colourful garden. Didnt want for anything. Caretaker close to hand and more than happy to impart local information tips and wrinkles.

Just a wee bit cold to use the super little pool this trip. Car needed to really get the most from the region which has everything to please all tastes.

From the Owner

We first came to spain because we were advised that Dolores and the nearby region of Torrevieja is one of the healthiest places to live in the world due to the salt lakes, the lovely surroundings made us fall in love with the town and finally decided to purchase a property in the area. The local cities of Alicante and Torrevieja have lovely harbours with plenty of bars and restaurants there are also museums, castles and plenty of shops. After ten wonderful years we are returning to the UK because of family commitments.

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 33 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Fairwayz at 1 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Alicante at 33 Kilometres Nearest Golf : La Finca golf & spa at 16 Kilometres Nearest Train : San Isidro at 13 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : AP7 at 2 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : The Fountain at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : La Marina (Guardamar is 21k) at 11 Kilometres Car: necessary

Special interest holidays:

There are facilities for mountain climbing in the area, walking, horse riding and cycling and golf, albeit the equipment is not available with the rental.


The nearest beaches are La Marina and Guadamar at just under a 15 minute drive. Other beaches available at Santa Pola at around 20 minutes. All these beaches have lifeguards in the Summer months. All the areas have water sport facilities, white sand and numerous restaurants.


The closest airports are Alicante which is a 25 minute drive, and Murcia which is a 40 minute drive away. We would recommend that you hire a car for the duration of your stay.


To the local village of Dolores is a 1½ km drive or a 20 minute walk. we are also surrounded by Catral, Almoradi and the well known urbanisation of La Marina and Quesada all of which are within a 10 minute drive. Main shopping centres are Elche and Torrevieja within a 20 minute drive and Murcia and La Zenia a 40 minute drive. We are also within an hour drive away from Benidorm.

Further Details:

There is an abundance of banks, bars, restaurants and shops within a 5-10 minutes drive.

  • Notes on accommodation: Children are welcome, cot and highchair hire can be arranged at an additional cost. Suitable for children and families as property is gated and pool area has gates as well. Clients are reminded to take special care of children in and around the pool and garden areas. A condition of booking is that clients take out their own personal insurance. There is a dog rescue home nearby, where people are encouraged to walk the dogs if they wish. Outside: Fully gravelled mature garden with an abundance of palm, fruit trees and shrubs. There is a large 10x5 pool fully terraced and ample sun loungers. There is also a barbecue, garden tables and chairs. The property is fully fenced and very secure for children.
