Apartment in Mellieha, Malta - Situated In A Private Residence, 5 Minutes From All Amenities And Malta's Largest Sandy Beach

The luxury, modern apartment is set within the picturesque village of Mellieha, metres away from some of Malta's most popular beaches (Ghadira bay) and within walking distance from numerous seaside bars and restaurants. A perfect base to explore Malta and Gozo. The apartment is located in an exclusive, secure complex boasting three communal pools and includes a large balcony overlooking the pool. The apartment is 186sqm with an additional 18sqm balcony. The apartment comprises a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, a double bedroom, a large triple bedroom and a family bathroom with separate shower and bath. The open plan kitchen/living/dining room leads to a large balcony that provides spacious seating for eight. The communal pool is open for use from sunrise to sunset. Free wireless broadband and cable tv is provided in the apartment, while nearby facilities include a full range of water sports: water skiing, sailing, wind surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving.

The apartment has been approved and licensed by the Maltese Tourist Authority to operate as a luxury rental property in accordance with Maltese Tourist Standards. The license is renewed on a yearly basis.

Please note the additional information below regarding extra costs;

Rates are in Euro per week for one family (maximum 6 people). Electricity (including air condition) is free to the value of €50 (160units) per week during July and August and to the value of €30 (100units) per week during the rest of the year. In the event that usage exceeds these amounts, it will be charged at €0.40 per unit (1khw). Meter readings will be taken upon arrival/departure. Travel cot/high chair can be provided. 24hr emergency contact number, final cleaning included.

Additional fees - Tourist/ Eco tax

The Malta Tourist Authority imposes an eco tax of €0.5 per person (over 18) per night to a maximum of €5 per person. The exact amount due per booking will be communicated at the time of booking and the tax will be collected upon arrival at the property in Malta. The apartment was huge! Very well equipped and everything was of high quality. There were nice touches, like having an iPod docking station and a good selection of kitchen equipment. We particularly like the balcony that overlooked one of the swimming pools, as the furniture and the ambiance outside in the evenings was wonderful.

The sea is close by, and a selection of restaurants within walking distance.

The complex itself is very nice, and is surrounded by walls with gates that you can open with a key, so it is secure.

Martin and Karon, who manage the apartment, are local, and were very helpful, and very friendly. They have both good local knowledge about the island.. They were always on hand if there were any problems with the apartment. It was nice to know that if we needed anything urgently we had someone we could call upon.

We would highly recommend this apartment, and Malta. We all had a fantastic time, and would definitely rent this again.

Super Anlage, super Aufenthalt!

Wir waren für 10 Tage in dieser Ferienwohnung in Mellieha (Tas Sellum). Das "Resort" ist wirklich gepflegt und sticht im Vergleich zur restlichen Umgebung, die sich momentan noch im Bau befindet, heraus. Es ist alles sicher und sauber, der Pool nicht überlaufen. Man bekommt seine eigene Liege- zum Strand sind es ca. 15min zu Fuß. Die Ferienwohnung hat unsere Erwatungen übertroffen, sie ist groß und modern eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts (Spülmaschine, Microwelle, Waschmaschine, TV, eigener Tiefgaragenparkplatz...).

Die Abwicklung lief problemlos und Martin hat sich als kooperativer Vermieter bewiesen, der uns bei wirklich allen Fragen schnell und unkompliziert geholfen hat.

Sollten wir nochmal die Gelegenheit bekommen, nach Malta zu reisen, würden wir in jedem Fall in Tas Sellum wohnen!

We stayed for 10 days at this apartment in Mellieha (Tas Sellum). The "resort" is really well maintained and stands in comparison to the rest of the environment that is currently still under construction out. It's all safe and clean, the pool is not overcrowded. One gets his own sunlounger/ to the beach is about 15min walk. The apartment exceeded our expensive, it is large and modern, it lacks not (dishwasher, washing machine, TV, own underground parking space ...).

The settlement ran smoothly and Martin has proven itself as a cooperative landlord who helped us really all questions quickly and easily.

Should we again get the opportunity to travel to Malta, we would live in any case in Tas Sellum!

Einfach Traumhaft

Wir waren 10 Tage im diesen wundervollen Apartment. Das Apartment sieht genauso aus, wie auf den Bildern. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Die Anlage ist nett und sauber und die Pools sind der Hammer. Wir werden bestimmt mal wieder kommen.

Man braucht auch nicht unbedingt ein Auto, Busverbindungen auf Malta sind super. 2 kleine Supermärkte in der Nähe, sowie tolle Restaurants. Der Sandstrand ist zu Fuß in ca. 5 - 10 min zu erreichen.

The complex has open sea views and the development leads directly to the sea. You are within easy walking distance of the longest, sandiest beach in Malta. Most of the coastline is rocky but there are pockets of sandy areas dotted around the island. The largest beach in Malta at Ghadira Bay (also known as Mellieha Bay), is a 10 minute walk

Travel:

The apartment is approximately 40 minutes drive from the island's airport at Luqa. The apartment can be reached by bus, taxi or hire car. A very good bus service operates around the island as well as a hop-on-hop-off sightseeing service

Facilities available nearby include a full range of water sports: water skiing, sailing, wind surfing, snorkelling and scuba diving. The sandy beach is ideal for children with a long gradual decline. Other facilities nearby, include Popeye's Village, golf and horse riding. There are many restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance.

The village of Mellieha, 1km away, offers all facilities, including banks, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and local shops.

Malta has a wealth of history and places to explore. The historic capital of Valletta is a fortified city with huge, impressive defensive walls and fortifications. Closer, is the ancient capital of Malta, Mdina, known as the Silent City. Another walled city, perched high up on a rocky outcrop, the views from the fortifications are spectacular. No non resident vehicles are allowed in the city, but you can take a horse drawn carriage ride. Mdina is filled with museums and a beautiful cathedral.

Marsaxlokk is a traditional fishing village on the southern tip of the island and fresh fish is landed daily. On Sundays, a large market is held on the quay front selling all manner of items, plus a large fish market. If you are looking for a fish restaurant, then Marsaxlokk is probably the place to visit.
