About Anna Styles

I live locally with my little girl and this is the second year I'm letting out the cottage. I have really enjoyed myself so far and everyone who's stayed has been so lovely, it makes doing it all the more worth it.

I know that holidays are precious times and I will try to make your holiday as relaxing and easy as possible.

The one thing I love most about this property and the area are the gorgeous walks seconds from the door. My favourite is from Cut Mill at Hinton along the river to Sturminster Mill. I do hope you take the time to find out why I love the area as much as I do.

Anna Styles purchased this cottage in 1994

Why Anna Styles chose Blandford Forum

I personally think Hinton St Mary is one of the most beautiful villages in Dorset and it's steeped in history. It is noted in the Domesday Book as "Heantune" meaning high village. Elevated above the Blackmore Vale, you are able to enjoy fine views across open countryside in all directions. I could go on and on about historical facts about the village and surrounding area but I haven't got enough time or the room on the page!

What makes this cottage unique

There are 2 main things that make this cottage a particularly good place to stay (Apart from the fact it's a lovely cottage of course!)

Firstly, the central location for many different attractions is key: Monkey World, Stone Henge, Longleat and the South Coast, to name but a few, are within an hours drive.

Secondly, being so close to the local pub and Sturminster Newton with the amenities it has but, at the same time, having such lovely countryside views in and around Hinton.

A Lovely Welcome to a Delightful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for a week and have to say that this is the finest holiday cottage we have stayed in. We have always used top named companies to rent from but this was our first using Owners Direct. Anna and her Mum were almost like friends before we even met which made the whole process so easy and formed a warm welcome even before we arrived. The cottage was immaculately presented and so cosy it was like pulling on a warm cardigan. Everything was ready for use and a starter pack including milk, butter and a glorious loaf of fresh bread. The situation for exploring the whole of Dorset was ideal and we did just that. The local pub, The White Horse, provides a warm welcome with fine home brewed ale and food you would die for. Excellent. Highly recommended with WiFi facility if required. A dream cottage in a dream location. Thanks Anna (&Mum)

lovely relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the cottage with my dad and my partner for one week at the end of August. The cottage is exactly as it looks in the photos. Anna met us at the cottage with a lovely freshly baked loaf.

We hired the cottage as my dad wanted to go to Monkey World and my partner Grant wanted to go to the Dorset Steam fair. Both were about half an hour drive from the cottage.

The negatives about the cottage were also the positives - no internet signal and no mobile phone signal might have been a bit inconvenient but it was also a bonus as it meant no constant interruptions from Facebook notifications.

We had to drive to shops to get provisions as nearest is a good half hour walk away.

We would recommend the cottage and hope to hire it again in the future.

A beautiful little cottage in an lovely village, Anna was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed.......Anna had left us tea, coffee and home made bread for when we arrived which was very welcome after a long journey!! Seymour Orchard is based in a perfect location for exploring Dorset and we had many enjoyable days out. We will definitely be looking to return, Our Host and the people in the village were so warm and friendly and Anna made us feel like nothing would be too much trouble she was only a phone call away.............However because everything was perfect we had no need to call!!! Thank You for a wonderful week. This cottage is an ideal choice for families, couples and people of every age whether you are looking to just relax for the week or get out an have an adventure! :-)
