Guestbook comments from the owner

We were the first guests in Apricot Cottage and had a wonderful week. The cottage has been decorated very tastefully and is stocked to a high standard.

The place is very welcoming and lovely - the owners were also accommodating in ensuring the cottage was child friendly. It is located very well in North Norfolk and we would recommend it to friends and family.

Dossa's - April 2013

My family and I had a wonderful long weekend at Apricot Cottage - it was my 30th birthday and there were eight of us. It was warm, cosy and homely and we all quickly felt comfortable and at home. It reached and out-did all our expectations.

Sophisticated cottage.

Lovely cottage. Only one problem, not enough hooks or places to hang clothes. It would have been useful to have known that there were no coat hangers!

Beautiful clean property . Lovely spot in the village.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property. It had everything we needed for our large group. The kitchen had everything we needed for eating in and the chip shop opposite was handy for our takeaway . The property was well situated for exploring the North Norfolk coast and surrounding area. The village is lovely too. Would definitely return to this perfect property. We loved it !!

Spacious well equipped cottage. We loved the little courtyard garden and appreciated the plants.

The cottage was exactly as advertised, with a lovely welcome pack which included a bottle of prosecco. A very well designed , modern conversion which suited all of us and was safe for my 18 month old granddaughter. Very close to the sea and conveniently near the chippie ! We hope to come back!

The village is perfectly placed for the North Norfolk Coast and its long, fine sandy beaches. Brancaster and Thornham are closest but Holkham and Wells are also worth a look.

We are 1 hour drive from Norwich airport and 2.5 hours from Stansted. The closest train station is Kings Lynn (20 minutes drive). Car hire and taxis are available in Lynn.

Burnham Market is 6 miles away, Kings Lynn 16 miles, Norwich 38 miles and Holt 24 miles.

Further Details:

All roads in North Norfolk seem to lead to Docking. It's a busy working village with an excellent small supermarket and post office, a fish and chip shop, blacksmith, village pub, a large village playing field, tennis court and bowling green. Docking also has its own coarse fishing lake that is available on a day ticket basis.
