Great cottage in best location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for us with 2 teenage girls and two dogs. The rooms are all charming, well equipped and welcoming. Two shower rooms are a bonus with teenagers. The garden is beautiful, full of flowers with access to the stream/river at the bottom through a gate - wonderful for an evening BBQ and for kids messing about on the river.

Very clean, and very comfortable including the beds, with all your needs catrered for. You arrive to a welcome basket and a house full of flowers. The decor is tasteful and the garden beautiful and peaceful. A variety pubs and cafes all within walking distance with different levels and choices of meals, and fantastic walks nearby. What what more could you ask for.

Lovely little cottage, clean , comfortable , pretty decor and soft furnishings. Basket of lovely eggs , bread etc on arrival , nice welcoming touch , everything we needed really. I'd arranged asda to deliver groceries for the week so we only had to sit back and enjoy the lovely area.

Coastal walks with beautiful scenery on the doorstep , five minute stroll to beach , friendly cafés , few pretty shops and pubs , mostly dog friendly . Lovely .

Having read all the gushing reviews I thought they must have been written by the the owners friends and family! But no this lovely cottage really does tick all the boxes. It is very comfortable with good sized rooms, warm (we went in March), well equipped and it's perfectly situated backing onto a small stream and a few minutes walk from the harbour and with pubs and eateries all just minutes away. A very enjoyable week spent here.

Sustained Excellence

This is the third time we have stayed here. It is spacious and comfortable. Clean and well supplied with toiletries/cleaning stuff, and you are greeted with a generous welcome pack. The cottage is homely and hard to leave !

You need for nothing, and all the equipment is new and reliable.Furnishings and beds are comfortable.

There is a lovely garden backing onto a busy stream. When the sky is clear at night you can see millions of stars as there is so little light pollution. During the day you can see birds of prey, butterflies and other wildlife. Solva is a idyllic spot, and the cottage is situated only a short walk from the harbour, and far enough away not to hear the traffic passing through.
