I love this area hence the reason for my return. It is a very friendly and welcoming village surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Peak District. Hathersage is in the heart of this beautiful countryside but so close to the surrounding villages and a short easy journey will get you into Sheffield

Travel:

Manchester Airport. 33 miles

Distances:

Villages of Eyam and Castleton 5 miles and Bakewell 10.5 miles. City of Sheffield 15 miles. Lady bower reservoir 3 miles.

Further Details:

Open air swimming pool open Easter to end September. Local shops including Butchers, Bakery and Greengrocers. Two Banks an Indian Restaurant local Pubs both serving food and several local cafes. Sheffield is a twenty minute drive but is also accessible by a regular bus or train. Castle ton famous for it's Caverns and Blue John Stone Jewellery is a 15 minute drive and Chatsworth House home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire is a short drive away. The area is famous for walking and climbing with the famous Stanage Edge within view of the cottage. Bake well famous for it's pudding is close by.
