House in Fort William, Scotland - Peaceful Rural Location In The Scottish Highlands

Lone Pine Lodge is situated in an elevated position with views over farmland to the snowcapped mountains. This timber lodge built in 2000 has a cathedral ceiling in the living/dining area with full length windows and a sliding door onto a large balcony. Upstairs is a master bedroom, bathroom with shower and bath and chill out studio room with balcony overlooking the living area. On the ground floor there is a hall, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and open plan kitchen/dining/living. There is a garden and barbecue area and parking for 3 cars. From the lodge there are walks onto the hill behind and farm tracks down to the river Lochy. The property is ideally located for touring the highlands being only 3 miles from Fort William the outdoor capital and it is amongst the nearest accommodation to Nevis Range with its mountain bike trails, downhill track and ski area.

About the Owner

my wife and myself have lived in the Highlands for 40 years. We are in our early 60's and run the farm, our self catering accommodation, 12 horses and torlundy trout fly fishing. We love the scenery here; looking at the snowcapped peaks of Ben Nevis every morning and having the farm, the horses and the space to ride,sail, walk and participate in the many activities that this area has to offer. There is a small fold of Highland cattle on the farm and 150 cheviot ewes to look after as well as the horses, so there is always something to do. Our 4 daughters come and go but have all fled the nest.
