The fully licensed property is set over 6 levels including terraces and garden. The pool can be heated if requested. The villa is ideal for a large family stay or golfing party, with 4 large bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom and terrace. The villa has a very high specification fitted kitchen and a large lounge/dining area. All levels enjoy superb sunny terraces overlooking the pool and towards the sea. About John Hough

We purchased 85 QDF after falling in love with the Western Algarve, having travelled extensively over the years. This substantial and exceptional property, located in an idyllic setting, is a wonderful home away from home.

Sofia and I are from the UK, but we spend a good portion of our time in the Algarve. The weather, the scenery and of course the people in the idyllic Western Algarve make this the most enchanting holiday destination we have known.

To complete the picture, the Quinta da Forteleza development is definitely one of the best appointed we have seen. We are pleased to be able to offer this sophisticated and well-loved home for rent throughout the year.

In addition, we are very lucky that the villa's former owner John, is still involved in the property and liaises with guests to the villa. His knowledge of the region, and of course of the property, provides that extra special touch to enhance your stay.

Why John Hough chose Vila Do Bispo region

Burgau is a delightful fishing village west of Praia da Luz within easy reach of a huge number of spectacular beaches, golf courses, water sports and much more. Quinta da Forteleza is situated just a mile beyond the village and is in a very peaceful and quite location.

The days are never long enough in the Algarve to take in all that is on offer, hence the need to keep coming back for more. Excellent restaurants and nightlife are available in abundance, so holidays can be as action packed or as chilled as you like. There are a huge number of flights daily to Faro from the UK which is only an hour away by road from Burgau.

What makes this villa unique

85 QDF is furnished to a very high standard and has four large bedrooms with en suite luxury bathrooms, high specification kitchen and large lounge-dining room. The house is surrounded by huge terraces on each level with extensive outdoor furniture for al fresco living. Freeview TV, DVD and internet are available, as is table tennis, BBQ and super swimming pool. The well established gardens are beautiful and the views from all levels of the property to the sea are superb.

All of your needs should be catered for and a selection of CDs, movies, books and games are left in the property for your enjoyment. The property is rented on a non-smoking basis and no pets are allowed. The property has been registered with the relevent authorities, is licensed, and is compliant with the local lodging rental licence requirements. Outside: 2 Large glass / rattan tables and chairs (16 in total) for alfresco dining. 8 pool loungers and 4 parasols with bases. A further glass / rattan table and four arm chairs with large parasol and two rattan loungers located on the master suite level. Table tennis is located on the lower terrace. BBQ with prep area on the lounge level with spectacular sea views Utility Room: There is a separate utility room which houses the washing machine, sink unit and wine cooler fridge. The back door leads onto the the main terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is prepared on arrival. A midweek towel change is provided. All linen and towels included with exception of beach and pool towels. Maid service included. One week stay one visit, general clean and towel change, two week villa clean and change of towels/bed linen at end of first week.
