A home from home over the channel...

  • 5 of 5

I can't praise this house enough. Shirley and George were immensely friendly and helpful when we were planning our stay and everything went extremely smoothly. The house has a terrace looking out on the pool and the undulating fields, which is great for barbeques and just relaxing in the evening. There is an enormous and cosy lounge with open fire and dining table and ample bedroom accomodation for the extended family.

I came on holiday to the house as a child with my family, so I can vouch for the fact that kids will love it, there is not just a pool, but also table tennis and a big field to play football and cricket.

The house is set in a small hamlet, a short drive from Eymet, a beautiful bastide town, where you can find all the amenities you will need.

So, all in all, I would highly recommend this property for its homliness and value for money, and that's not even taking into account the excellent local wine!

Owner's Response: It's a great compliment, when guests return to stay again, especially when they stay as children and book themselves, with their friends and own families. Shirley and George.

Absolutely wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We were absolutely amazed when we arrived at the property. It looked good in the photos but we were not prepared for how idyllic it is. On the end of the little lane, you have total privacy and peace. The pool has the sun all day as does the terrace. It is very well equipped and has a very comfortable feel - clearly a home. The pool and pool area are fantastic and we spent hours relaxing by the pool, chilling in the shade. The view from the house is of undulating hills and, at the time we were there, fields of sunflowers. I can't fault this place. wish it was mine!

Le Prunier - a perfect rural retreat

  • 4 of 5

The house and location was ideal for our perfect summer getaway.

We are a family with 2 boys, age 7 and 8 who had a fabulous time playing in the extensive grounds and by/in the pool. In addition we have two Boxer bitches who thoroughly enjoyed their vacation in rural France - lots of walking direct from the doorstep.

We were happy with all aspects of the house and its facilities - simply home from home.

The house is located near to the local town of Eymet - close enough to get groceries, local produce and delicious Bergerac/Bordeaux wine daily but far enough away to provide a peaceful stay. The town itself has plenty of eating places too.

The owners helped with information regarding the local area and the nearest vet to ensure our dogs passports were up to date for our return trip.

We could not find fault with any of our holiday and have booked for next year too!

Owner's Response: It is wonderful to find a family, who enjoyed our holiday home as much as we do, as well as others. The detailed review sums this up for us. The success for all, including the dogs, makes accepting their booking for next year, a real pleasure.
