Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Kind regards.

Friendly village, comfortable apartment

  • 4 of 5

We have just spent a month in this studio apartment, a ground floor property, which was very comfortable and ideal for a couple. There is a good quality sofa which converts to a double bed, which would enable a family with young children to use it, but the apartment is most suitable for a couple, as the space outside is not really conducive to children playing. However we sat out in the very narrow street for aperitifs most nights - few cars were able to use the street! Our neighbours, including Emmanuel and his family, were very friendly, and we were invited into the home of one family for aperitifs. Our daily walk for "une baguette et Midi Libre" took us around the old attractive streets, and the church and chapel are not to be missed. Village shops, bars, restaurants etc are good, and a piscine has just opened on the outskirts of the village. Minervois is stunning - vineyards as far as the eye can see - and the Canal du Midi is omnipresent. Carcassonne is a must, and the ancient town of Minerve up a scary mountain road must be visited! There are lakes nearby with beaches, which get busy, and the coast is at least one hour away, but the beaches are lovely. The local wine is amazing, and we have some of Emmanuel's best to take home for Christmas. I have given it 4 stars rather than 5, because it is more suitable for a couple rather than a family or two couples - privacy issues - it is a little far from tourist spots, and also there are some improvements and additions to equipment which Emmanuel will make. But it is lovely, modern, clean and in a delightful place.

Owner's Response: Hi Diana, thank you for your review, it was lovely to meet you. I am really pleased, you enjoyed your stay in Emmanuel's apartment. You are correct in saying the apartment is more suited to couples, as a child would have to sleep on the sofa bed. As stated Emmanuel has taken on board the missing equipment and has now purchased said items and they are in the apartment. We look forward to seeing you again.
