|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
The living accommodation is on the first and second floors and approached by a winding stone staircase onto the generous terrace. Double doors lead into a large, open plan living/dining area with exposed beams, two original fireplaces and an atrium open up to the second floor. Timber screens divide off the kitchen and study areas. A steel and oak staircase leads to second floor with large roof lights, white washed timber floors. The property is very spacious and light. Opening off the main living area is a terrace for eating al fresco and with views across the village to the vineyards beyond.
La Maison des Barriques and La Petite Maison have been created from an old winery. The property has been transformed and lovingly renovated to a high standard, giving fabulous contemporary interiors. Being an Interior Designer every detail has been considered, mixing old with new, to provide warm, spacious and light interiors. Entrance to La Maison des Barriques is via a winding stone staircase onto the terrace which looks out over the village to the vineyards beyond. Paguignan, which nestles in the foothills of the Montagne Noire and just 30km from the Mediterranean, is a quiet hamlet with winding alleyways, an ancient chapel, a small tree lined square and evidence of more prosperous times. Within two minutes walk from the front door you are among the vineyards.This is a land of vineyards, wine and good food, perfumed garrigue, Cathar castles, abbeys, walks, rivers for fishing and swimming and colourful markets with fresh local produce.
