About the property

Our traditional Pembrokeshire stone built Cow Byre (Y Beudy) and Grain Store (Ysgubor) have been converted into two holiday cottages that offer an escape to both the countryside and coast. Set in eight acres within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park the properties are secluded and provide easy access to the coast path. The two barns form an L-shape facing onto a shared courtyard area with ample parking, lawns and grassed areas. Facing out to sea the properties boast spectacular uninterrupted sea views.

We have lived at Mountain Hall for over 30 years. We feel fortunate that we have been able to raise our children in such rural area. We love the peace and tranquility of living here and since 2006 when we renovated our outbuildings into holiday accommodation we have been able to offer others an opportunity to enjoy this peaceful corner of Pembrokeshire with it's rugged coastline.

Outstanding Welsh cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent two fantastic weeks in this beautiful, fully equipped converted cottage. The hosts were extremely gracious and helpful. Their renovation of this cottage was completed using the highest quality standards for both style and comfort. Beds, linens, and furnishings were both comfortable and attractive. The kitchen included a washer/dryer and dishwasher, plus complete supplies that would satisfy even the most ambitious cooks. The views and scenery were truly breathtaking. The Pembrokeshire Coast duly deserves its fame for stunning hiking trails. Country lanes offer additional alternatives for less strenuous exercise while still providing lovely views. We have traveled around the world, and this ranks among our top favorites. The cottage is appropriate for couples and small families with two living areas established for separate interests and space between visitors. Everything is thoughtfully designed along these lines. In the future, we may bring family to stay in both this and the larger cottage, the highest recommendation we can give.

Peaceful Haven

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Ysgubor (The Grain Store) for a week at the end of July beginning of August. This was our first visit and certainly will not be our last. The property was lovely, set in a country lane and surrounded by fields with a view of the sea from the windows of the cottage. The peace and tranquillity was just what we required and this location certainly did not disappoint. The Cottage itself was clean and beautifully euipped, we particulary enjoyed the upper level sitting room with balconey and views of the sea. We also enjoyed the fact the property is located very close to footpaths that take you all along the stunning Pembrokeshire coastal pathways. If you want a holiday that is peaceful, tranquil and want to explore the coast on foot, if you are looking to eat at fabulous fish restaurants at Porth Gain or St. David's, if you want to be adventurous and enjoy coasteering or a run out on a boat exploring the many islands around the coast then this location is absolutely perfect.
