This spacious four bedroom family house can accommodate up to 10 people and has been converted to a high standard and would suit a family or families of all ages. If you are looking for privacy this is the ideal property for your holiday as it is surrounded by fields with great views in all directions over open countryside. The large swimming pool is inside a fenced enclosure. The villages of St Severin and Verteillac which offer excellent local shops are a 10 minute drive away with the market town of Riberac 15 minutes away offering a large supermarket, restaurants, canoeing, weekly market etc.

Notes on accommodation: The property has just been completely renovated to a high standard. It's our second home and we love it and hope that others will also appreciate it. There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and radiators in the upstairs bedrooms. Basic domestic items are supplied ie tea towels, matches, washing up liquid, torches etc as well as a welcome pack. Outside: The garden is large with lawn area for playing games. Private pool 12m x 6m which is fully enclosed by fence and gate. There are sun loungers and an outside table and chairs for the patio, Barbecue. Parking for three cars. Double garage. Bikes available. There is no light pollution due to the rural location and the stars and milky way can be gazed at on a clear night and are amazing. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine, boiler, ironing board, iron, vacuum, clothes horse, dust pan and brush, bins etc. Cloakroom off with wc and wash hand basin Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels & bed linen are provided but not pool towels. The property is thoroughly cleaned before arrival. Guests may have a mid-stay clean for an additional fee. Other: Outside the kitchen is a large terrace with an outside dining table and benches for up to 12 people. Also there is a large terrace to the front of the property with table and chairs. There is a large garden area for playing games and a barbecue.

Beautiful house set in a fabulous location.

This is an amazing house. The property itself was clean and very well equipped. The welcome basket is a lovely touch. We all had great fun in the large pool but the children especially enjoyed it. The house easily accommodated the 6 of us. It would comfortably house 10.

There is an abundance of wildlife to see, including "fairies" in the garden (aka glowworms). The night sky was awesome due to extremely low levels of light pollution.

It is impossible to describe how peaceful it is here. We needed to get away from it all and this delivered on all fronts.

Would recommend a visit to Brantome, Aubeterre and Perigueux. For day to day needs there is an excellent village shop at Verteillac 10 minutes drive away.

We would love to come back again. We can't recommend it highly enough.

We had the most wonderful holiday in beautiful 'Beaumont'! When we arrived we were taken aback by the perfect setting, with the house surrounded by sunflower fields, perfection! The house itself was lovely, spotlessly clean and felt more like home rather than a holiday let with everything you could possibly need for a stay. We did not have children with us but if you did there were plenty of games, books and outdoor games to keep them well occupied on sunny or rainy days. The icing on top of the cake was the pool! It is so pretty with all the lovely planting around it and even on the couple of cloudy days we couldn't resist a dip! There are lots of places to visit further afield but we especially enjoyed the lovely little villages nearby where you can enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by or have a meal out. I can thoroughly recommend this property and the surrounding area for a wonderful holiday!

A beautiful property in a lovely rural setting.

A very well presented barn conversion, ideal for a family with children. An excellent swimming pool and large garden make it ideal for relaxing and playing outdoor games. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, appreciating the beautiful views and the ample space inside and outside.

The property was presented in excellent condition and the owners were more than helpful in all communications.

Modern converted barn with lovely pool and views in a rural location

We have just returned from a 2 weeks stay at this lovely house. Convenient if you get the TGV to Angouleme station - half an hour drive to the house.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you as it is quite rural.

Amenities at the house were very good, clean and well equipped. Clear instructions explaining how everything worked which makes it so much easier. A welcome basket when we arrived was great.

Plenty of room in and out of house for everything you want to do and pool with gorgeous views.

Nearest village , Vertiliac was a 10 mins drive.

We used the supermarket Le eclerc in Riberac which was a 20 minute drive from the house.

Canoeing at Aubeterre was about 20/30 minute drive from the house where there was a lovely quaint village with nice shops and restaurants.

Bordeaux - 2 hours drive from house.

Great communication throughout from the owners.

Beaumont - A truly wonderful holiday property

Beaumont is one of the best properties in one of the nicest locations we have stayed in.

The barn conversion has been done with great sympathy to the original building and with style. It's a sturdy property offering numerous areas of relaxation dependant upon mood and heat, each with its own unique view of the rolling French countryside that changes in aspect as each hour of the day passes.

Waking to the sun gently burning the mist off in the valley however is probably the best.

The property was extremely clean and well kept as was the pool which provided ample entertainment and was refreshingly cooling after a days canoeing and swimming in the nearby river Dronne.

The property is remote but there are suitable shops within a relatively short distance so there is no inconvenience, indeed it is the remoteness that provides the charm with wildlife aplenty and little noise apart from that which you make yourself, the children being able to run free relatively unhindered within the safe confines if the walled and gated garden.

Will we go back? We wish we'd never had to leave!

We arrive at 1am in the morning, after a long journey ( operation stack and the war and peace festival) However when we woke to the views in the morning it was all worth it, they are breath taking. The house has everything you need and it is very private...walk around in your bikini until your heart's content. We went for a ride on the bikes to Verteillac 11k.. just be warned that does not seem far but I didn't realise how hilly it is.. but I kept with it, at a very slow pace, and made it back! We had bbq

Car: necessary


At Arcachon on the coast, about 2 hours away, is the Dune de Pyla, the highest sand dune in Europe. The beach at Royan is approximately 80 minutes drive. There is a beautiful man made beach at Aubeterre (about 15 minutes drive) suitable for swimming and there is also canoeing and horse riding. There is a large lake with beaches at La Jemaye (about 30 minutes drive) which has many attractions (including pedalos) and restaurants as well as being suitable for swimming.


Fly to Bergerac which is approx 40 miles away or Bordeaux which is approx 80 miles away. Distance from Caen Ferry terminal is about 325 miles mainly motorway (5 1/2 hours driving).

Verteillac 9kms (5 miles); St Severin 9 kms (5miles); Riberac 17 kms (10 miles).
