About the Owner

We recently moved to Norfolk after falling in love with the area after spending numerous holidays here. We live in the main Georgian Mill House with my husband and our two children.

Peaceful, beautiful and very idyllic

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely week, the cottage is lovely and peaceful, the welcome breakfast pack is a wonderful touch. There is so much to do in this area for both dogs and children. The Waveney river centre is just a 5minute drive away and the pool was virtually empty when we were there. Chris and Gemma were wonderful hosts and I would definitely recommend this property and even stay again in the future.

Beautifully furnished, so clean and tidy.

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay at mill cottage. Was in a great location close to lots of places of interest I.e beccles, Yarmouth, southwold. Was beautifully kept and very clean. The lovely owners left wine and cooked breakfast ingredients for us which was lovely.

We took our 1 year old daughter who it was perfect for travel cot and high chair were provided which was so handy for us not having to take them and we used the swimming pool at the Waveney centre which she loved. There is also a children's playground a short walk away from the cottage. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Relaxing weekend break

  • 5 of 5

A real "home from home". A nice property with all the facilities that I expect in a holiday cottage. The welcome hamper was really good too. Went to the Waveney Centre whilst we were there as well as into Norwich. Lots of country walks around the property. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be making a return.

Location

From the Owner

We are in the Waveney Valley, only 1.5 miles from the Waveney River Centre where there are ferry trips across to broads, boat hire, swimming pool and leisure facilities. Our home is the historic Mill House next door to the old mill of burgh st peter dating back to 1825. The rural village setting, the views and country walks, whist being on the door step of the thriving town of Beccles, make this a perfect setting for our home and family business.
