Chalet Apartment Chamonix and Chalet Alpine Rose are located in a peacefull neighbourhood but both the centre of Chamonix and the nearest ski lift are located under 500 metres away.

The properties are available together or separately and consist of a garden level three bedroomed apartment sleeping up to seven (or nine with sofa bed) plus a cosy self contained chalet for two.

The main apartment gives the choice of single or double beds. The chalet has a double bed.

There are en-suite showers, log fires, wifi, and plenty of private parking plus washing machine, sauna and cable TV and movie library in the main apartment.

About the Owner

We are all year round Chamonix residents.

Originally from the UK, we settled here full time nine years ago after visiting Chamonix for twenty five years and have participated to varying degrees of success in the majority of outdoor activities here...

Mountaineering, climbing, mountain and road biking, trail running, skiing, snowboarding, parapenting and even fishing!

We are confident that our local knowledge will help contribute to a successful holiday for our clients.

The properties achieve the almost impossible by being located at the end of a private road in in 1000 sqmetres of gardens in a very peacefull South facing location with amazing views yet still giving quick and easy access on foot to both the town centre and to the hiking and biking trails plus cable cars and ski lifts. The nearest climbing area is at Gailllands which is a ten minute walk, alternatively you can access high mountain climbing and trails within a few minutes via the Brevant and Aiguille De Midi cable cars. There are numerous activities available within a few minutes walk, examples are rafting, climbing, parapenting, wingsuiting, bowling, swimming, fishing and golf.

Special interest holidays:

Ski Touring.

During the ski touring season we offer split accommodation and minibus back up. For example for the Chamonix Zermatt route you can stay for a few nights, head off on the route (leaving the excessive baggage) and we will collect you and return you at the end for another night or two of accommodation.

Tour De Mont Blanc.

Again we offer split holidays. Stay for a couple of nights, walk, bike or run the Tour Du Mont Blanc and stay again at the end. Minibus backup is also available.

Coast/Beach:

There are lakeside beaches at the local outdoor/indoor swimming pool complex which is around ten minutes walk away.

There are several swimming lakes in the valley near Sallanches (twenty minutes drive) plus a lake at Champex in Switzerland which is about 45 minutes drive. Lake Annecy, Lake Gruyere and Lake Geneva are 60min drive.

The Mediterranean Sea is four hours drive away. Too far for a day out, but easily accessible for a two centre holiday.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Geneva, easily accessed via motorway and dual carriageway virtually into the centre of Chamonix. It takes about an hour.

There are numerous airlines and car rental companies serving this airport.

It is not necessary to bring a rental car as once in Chamonix everything is easily accessible on foot or via the network of buses and local railway.

We can organise door to door airport transfers

Other possibilities for airports are Turin, Milan, Lyon, Chambery and Genoble.

Distances:

The Centre of Chamonix is about 200 metres away.

Geneva and Annecy are about 60km.

Martigny in Switzerland is about 40km.

Further Details:

The town centre contains a massive choice of restaurants and cafés, shops, banks, bars, clubs, supermarkets, boulangeries, chocolateries and patisseries.

There are several attractions in the centre of town, museums, bowling, swimming pool, cinema.
