About Michael and Linda Disney

We are semi retired (well probably quarter retired if we are honest!) ex nursery owners who have a real passion for gardening and helping people make the most of our stunning home county of Devon. We have also been farmers in the past and it this love of open spaces that prompted us to buy Olde Barn Gardens, the location is everything! When we aren't growing the plants that surround the cottage we are enjoying time with our family and watching our 3 wonderful grandchildren grow up quickly!

Michael and Linda Disney purchased this cottage in 1993

Why Michael and Linda Disney chose Teignbridge

It's simply stunning, we can see Mamhead House from the back of the property as well as Haldon Forest Park. It had everything we wanted and we love it here so much we converted the barn next door which is now our home!

What makes this cottage unique

Without a doubt the one thing we offer that other properties don't is the stunning plants that surround the cottage. The front of the house is strewn with hanging baskets and the secluded rear garden is a haven to relax in.

Amazing. Immaculate. Beautiful. Definitely Reccommend

  • 5 of 5

Wow, where to start.

Michael and Linda are a lovely couple and were helpful and quick to respond to emails right from the start. Met us on arrival and showed us around the property personally. Linda had even made a cake ready for us that tasted amazing.

The house was absolutely immaculate, cleaned and tidied to perfection.

Everything in its right place and everything and anything you could possibly need was already thought of and provided for you.

The Master bedroom has to be the highlight.

A huge room that had lovely views across the fields.

Each night we would use the master room as the living room and sit in the comfy recliner chairs provided and watch the beautiful sunsets and listen to the birds singing.

We liked it so much we asked if we could stay on an extra night and they were happy to oblige.

I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone wishing to visit this area.

I certainly hope to go back again at some point with more family members.

Full marks to Linda and Michael the holiday cottage owners who put so much effort and care into making the place so spotlessly clean and welcoming. I can't praise them enough.

Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped

  • 4 of 5

Excellent cottage! Loved our stay. So comfortable and clean, very well equipped. Such a beautiful master bedroom and amazing shower in the en suite. Linda and Michael made us feel very welcome, leaving cake and cookies for when we arrived which was very much appreciated. We would have given five stars if it hadn't been for the road noise but this is the only negative. Everything else was just perfect

Owner's Response: Thank you Dawn for your review on our cottage. We are pleased that you appreciated the cottage,it's amenities, garden, and the little extra's we left for you, but saddened that the road noise annoyed you, unfortunately it is a consequence of modern day life, everyone travels by car these days. None the less, if ever you should be down in this area again please bear us in mind. Linda and Michael

Owner's Response: Good morning Lynn, Thank you for that really lovely review, we are so pleased you all enjoyed your stay, the local area ,and all it has to offer. I hope that you have managed the cookies from the recipe I wrote out for you, but remember only one at a time or else you will pay for it around the waistline. We hope we are able to welcome you to Olde Barn Gardens again one day. Regards Linda and Michael

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect stay, myself, Son and Daughter who came over from Berlin. The cottage is a truly wonderful place to relax and provided everything we needed, not just the cozy ambience but the view, the flowers and every facility. We had guests over for a BBQ and it provided us all a momentous day. Above all Linda and Micheal, the proprietors, are lovely people who have left a deep personal impression on us all. Thank you Linda and Micheal. Warmest regards Chris, Zoe and Gavin.
