About the Owner

We have been visiting this part of France for several years with our children. We could not find the house we wanted to buy so decided to build our own! It was amazing luck finding this peaceful plot with wonderful views with the feeling of being well and truly in the countryside yet being able to walk in the morning to the local boulangerie. We also love the nearby sandy beaches and are still exploring the area and finding new beaches and sights to visit.

Superb villa with amazing space and brilliant view

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in 3 properties in Neffies and this is by far and away the best and think that the pictures don't really do the villa justice. It is modern, clean and spacious and had everything a family of 5 would need for a 2 week stay.

The kitchen and dining area are both well equipped and there is plenty of space to eat inside or out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also great and everything worked as it should during our stay.

The pool is a perfect size and immaculately maintained.

Everything worked smoothly from the moment we contacted owner Andrew and service could not have been better.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in re-booking this villa again or recommending to friends and family.

Weather was mixed - but frightful in Northern France. Villa is an excellent base to explore from.

Excellent property - would highly recommend to anybody

  • 5 of 5

This is the first time I've independently booked a villa and I was delighted - the villa exceeded my expectations. Great location, on the edge of a village with a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. Beautifully designed, perfectly proportioned rooms, extremely comfortable, fitted with everything you need for a comfortable hassle free holiday. Everything worked perfectly and there was plenty of everything .... the owners had really thought it through - designed for them and perfectly equipped for guests. If I ever built a place in the south of France, I'd model it on this. I'll be recommending it to friends.

Perfect Holiday Villa

  • 5 of 5

We have been holidaying in the South of France for many years and I can honestly say that this is the best villa we have stayed in. Clean and well equipped inside, the most beautiful view over vineyards from the terrace (the photos don't do it justice) and Neffies is a surprisingly picturesque and very friendly village.

The village has a very good fine dining restaurant 'Restaurant Le Very'table' and an informal brasserie serving fixed Menu du Jour with a pretty terrace. It is also home to probably the smallest boulangerie in France, providing excellent bread and friendly service.

Our children (aged 7, 7 and 10) loved the pool, the roman steps always a bonus, and the boules area was a pleasant surprise.

If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable villa in a lovely area this one is pretty much perfect.

Beautiful villa and location

  • 5 of 5

The villa is in a lovely location, fairly high up on the outskirts of Neffies, with extensive views over the vineyards to Roujan and beyond. The pool and garden area is not overlooked by the neighbouring houses, so it is very private. It is lovely place to sit and relax by the pool, and also for al fresco dining. English TV was a bonus as the nights were drawing in, and there is now wifi, installed on the last day of our stay.

The villa itself we found to be very comfortable and clean, in fact it is the best villa we have had in the 30 years we have been visiting France, and we shall definitely go again soon as the area is wonderful.

The village has a very good boulangerie (closed Weds) and a small shop, both near the church, also a café and restaurant, although we did not visit either, preferring to eat in the villa. The nearby local wine co-operative has good wine for sale by vrac, the bottle, or box (10.4 euros for 5 ltrs), and there is an independent cave 100 meters further along the road, but it was only open one morning during our stay, a pity as the rose was excellent!

Roujan is 2km away with a good Super U, and Pezenas is a delight, especially the old vill with all the craft shops (some of which are closed on Mondays) and the market on a Saturday is large and lively. Marseillan has a lovely port area and a good market on Tuesdays.

Luxury Villa Neffies

We have stayed in many villas over the years but this was by far the best. Very well equipped and comfortable. Wonderful location overlooking the beautiful countryside. Lovely pool and great location. Excellent spot for quality vineyards and the charming old town of Pezenas. We will definitely return.
