About the property

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Penthouse Apartment. Free wifi and satellite TV. Large private roof top solarium with gret views, pergola and BBQ.

This is a beautiful penthouse apartment located on a peaceful spot on Phase 3. It's south facing so you can relax and enjoy the sun from sun rise to sun set on either the lounge terrace or the large private roof top solarium. Both outdoor areas give superb views of the pool and surrounding communal gardens.

The rooftop solarium is an excellent outdoor living space. It’s furnished with a BBQ, 4 sun loungers and a large pergola that covers the dining table and chairs for when some shade is needed. The views from the rooftop solarium stretch to the golf course and beyond, to the rear the fruit fields. In 2015 we improved the access to the rooftop by replacing the original spiral staircase with a marble and steel staircase. This is shown in the pictures above and makes access much easier whilst opening up the space on the lounge terrace.

Wifi and satellite TV is provided in the apartment. TV channels are similar to a UK Freeview package and include BBC & ITV channels. In 2015 we also upgraded the air con by installing a new more efficient system. You will also find 2 fire extinguishers C02 monitor plus fire blanket.

We provide access to our secure underground parking space so your car can be kept cool and out of the sun along with access to our storage unit for any items you don't wish to take to the apartment. There are 4 fold away sun loungers in the storage unit for your use beside the communal pool. (beach towels are provided in the apartment) A lift is available to take you directly from the underground parking area to the second floor were you will find our apartment.

We feel the apartment has been designed to sleep up to 4 people comfortably and have therefore not added additional sleeping space by providing a sofa bed in the lounge. The master bedroom has a lovely king size bed plus en- suite with shower over bath. Bedroom 2 to the rear of the property has two single beds and is beside the bathroom with shower.

Our property is managed by Calida International Properties so you can be ensured of a professional meet and greet service along with peace of mind of a local contact during your stay.

For those wishing to take advantage of the golf facilities the apartment is located within the Dave Thomas designed Roda Golf Development. Roda is closely associated with the Spanish PGA and has hosted many tournaments including the European PGA Championships. The golf facilities include driving range, academy plus putting green which are open all year around to members and non-members. There is also a modern hi-tech gymnasium available to residents. Multinational restaurants and bars are situated a small taxi journey away within the tranquil resorts of Los Alcazares and Los Norejos.

About Lynn McInnes

Both my father in law and husband share a strong interest in golf hence their initial attraction to Roda. My husband Graeme played professional golf for 10 years and enjoys the excellent golf facilities at Roda.

After a long career in Banking I decided to take time out to focus on family life. We all look forward to holidays at Roda and find there is plenty for us all to enjoy. Driving in the area is fairly straight forward so being a non golfer I enjoy freedom to head off in the car to explore while the boys are golfing.

We live in Aberdeenshire and have been enjoying holidays at Roda for 7 years.

We share a healthy interest in cooking/food so the variety of nearby restaurants tops off our hols to Roda!

Why Lynn McInnes chose San Javier

Being keen golfers our family wanted to enjoy all year golf in a sunny climate and this is to be found in the Murcia region of Spain. My husband & father in law spent some time visiting the area and were initially attracted to Roda due to its association with the Spanish PGA. We picked this particular apartment due to the south facing location and large private roof top solarium. All in all we find Roda meets each of our needs be it a family holiday or a golfing break....I have not yet found the time for a girls break but hope to do so in the very near future!

What makes this apartment unique

What we really enjoy about our apartment is the amount of sun that it gets due to it being south facing. The sun brings a bright and relaxing atmosphere to inside the apartment too. The addition of the BBQ means we spend even more time on the roof top. It can be very relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine watching the sun go down! Roda Golf Course was designed by the internationally renowned golf architect Dave Thomas and offers the very highest standards of quality. We always aim to continue this quality into our apartment so guests really do relax & enjoy their stay.

Apartment located on Phase 3. We recommend you hire a car to enjoy the most of your stay. Secure private underground parking space provided with access to lockable storage unit which you may find handy for hired bikes or any beach equipment you may buy or as an alternative place to keep golf clubs. Bike hire is available in Los Alcazares. The resort is gated with 24 hr security and controlled access. Free wifi is available in our apartment and in the clubhouse. This is a non smoking and no pets apartment. The property is fully air conditioned and has central heating making it suitable for use all year round. The original air conditioning unit was replaced in 2015. We have taken this opportunity to install an air con meter whereby an air con allowance will be preloaded for each booking. (This allowance is increased during high season to cater for increased temperatures.) In the unlikely event that the pre loaded allowance does not cover your entire stay a top up can be arranged directly with the management company. Top ups are at the guests expense. All linen and towels including beach towels will be provided. Property will be cleaned for your arrival and on your departure, cleaning and laundry costs are built into our rental price. Excellent apartment in luxury resort

Just back from 10 days at this apartment in Los Alcazares and cannot recommend highly enough. It is immaculately clean and very well kitted out. The kitchen has absolutely everything you would need, even for the keenest chefs! Rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and importantly, clothes hangers. Beds are very comfortable and the bedding smelled of a lovely clean fabric conditioner, it's these little things that make the difference for me.

Location wise, the resort is very secure and spotlessly clean. The pool was brilliant too. You will definitely need a car but it is worth it to see all that the local area has to offer. Great shopping is only a short drive away and caters for all. We went to the beach every day and it's very family friendly.

On booking, Lynn emailed over a list of recommendation from her experience which was much appreciated. She was very friendly and approachable.

Overall it was excellent and I would highly recommend.

Wonderfully relaxing holiday in beautiful apartment

This is our second summer in Roda staying in this apartment and we will be returning! The apartment is very well equipped for a family holiday and is beautifully furnished. The roof terrace is an added bonus for extra space, privacy, eating area etc The golf resort is a good base for visiting lots of beaches and places of interest-I would recommend hiring a car so you can get out and about. We spent lots of happy days in the pools on the Roda complex and evenings relaxing on the veranda of the apartment.

Really well presented, modern and comfortable apartment on a lovely resort

We had a great time while staying at this apartment. It is decorated to a high standard and like staying in a nice hotel. Arrival and departure were quick and easy which was a real bonus. Would highly recommend staying here if looking for apartment in the area.

Great holiday

The Arrival process was very smooth. The apartment was excellent, had everything and more. Great roof top terrace with BBQ, nice to have a bit of peace away from the pool when needed and still able to rake in the sun.

Excellent Property

We had a very enjoyable relaxing month in Roda in June.

The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable, very well-equipped and well-furnished, and well supplied, down to separate sun-beds for both the solarium and the pool area.

With a (necessary) hire car, we found everything readily accessible: beaches, shopping facilities, restaurants and main roads for travelling further afield.

Sarah Evans of the local management company, Calida, was extremely helpful from beginning to end.

The area has a pleasant Spanish feel, without being crowded with foreign tourists.

All-in-all, a very enjoyable holiday.

Penthouse villa

on arrival we met with Sarah who took us to ur apartment, which was lovely. our over all stay was good as we have stayed at Roda golf before and knew how to get about.

l would like to point out things that would have been better as it was october it would have ben good to have had more than just a empty duvet cover on the bed, a blanket would have been good or a duvet as it did get cooler in the evening! The week we were staying on the Wednesday and Thursday there was some kind of festival going on (holiday) shops closed etc It would have been good to be given this information when we arrived!

The apartment had a telly etc but also could have done with some games maybe ..... we went out and bought cards but in prevous apartments they had some games. Finally we arrived later afternoon on a Sunday it would have been good to have had the choice to pay for a welcome hamper just very basic like bread, milk, butter or jam maybe some fruit juice! the shops were all closed again luck we knew the area but if you did not you would have had nothing!

l will definatly return here again and highly recommend Roda Golf for a lovely relaxing break!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, my apologies that your experience was not entirely as it should have been. With regard the bedding there are duvets available in the apartment and I will take a note to ensure that guests know where we have stored duvets should they not be to hand. All guests are always offered a Welcome Pack. This question is asked in the “Coming Over” form and on checking your form you declined the offer of a Welcome Pack. I double check this with guests who have not stayed at Roda before in particular if arriving on a Sunday. I was aware at the outset that you had stayed at Roda before and given I did not receive any further questions from you prior to your stay assumed perhaps wrongly that this did not need to be checked again with you. I note below what is currently offered in a Welcome Pack along with the cost. On looking into the matter re local/national holidays in Spain, Wednesday the 12th was National Hispanic Day and a National Holiday. We take on board your comments of being advised of this on your arrival on the Sunday. As we arrived ourselves on the Wednesday we were able to do a grocery shop at Lidl which was open and we enjoyed an evening meal at the Golf Club. On Thursday we found everything to be open as normal and enjoyed a day at La Zenia Boulevard followed by an evening meal at Flavour Restaurant which was made all the more memorable due to the thunder storm! We have as you suggested placed a pack of playing cards in the apartment and will consider board games for next year. We build into our prices the cost of a face to face meet and greet as we feel this is an important service to guests and allows an opportunity for guests to ask any additional questions. We also provide access to a local contact on Roda to assist guests during their stay if required. The matter of the bedding is an example of where they would have been only too delighted to help. I also provide guests with my private home number, mobile and email so guests are reassured that we too are contactable at any point if required. Please be assured I have taken your feedback on board to continue to improve the experience for our guests and I’m delighted to have found details of National/Local holidays in Spain for 2017. The Roda Golf Resort is approximately 1.5 km, 5 mins by car from the beautiful Mar Menor which runs along the coast and can be accessed from Los Norejos or Los Alcazares. The Mar Menor is a salt water lagoon making it very shallow and a super beach for children. Also suitable for water sport activities such as sailing, fishing, water skiing and scuba diving. Beach cafes offering snacks are scattered along the front along with excellent restaurants.


Roda Golf Resort is conveniently located only a 10 minute drive from Murcia, San Javier airport which is serviced by many budget airlines from the UK. To fully enjoy Roda Golf Resort and the surrounding area a car is fully recommended, 3 car hire companies operate from the airport. Alicante airport is approximately a 50 minute drive.

We have appointed a local management company to look after our property and to provide reassurance to guests that there is local assistance required during your stay if required. They also provide a file in our apartment which contains recommendations on local restaurants, golf courses, emergency telephone numbers, local market days etc. Included in our price is a meet & greet service whereby a representative from the management company will meet you at the entrance to Roda and show you into our apartment.

At an additional cost a welcome pack and mid stay clean can be arranged directly with the management company.
