Tranquil Character Country Cottage, Beautiful Views, Hot Tub, Falmouth 5 miles.

Updated: 12-Oct-2016
One bedroom country cottage, quiet location, dog walks from the door,

Miller's Nook is a character semi detached granite cottage located in the sleepy hamlet of Trewardreva Mill, a mile from Constantine, and 5 miles from both Falmouth and Helston towns with their amenities. The property is situated in the owner's 6 acres of fields and woodlands. There is ample parking for a car and boat trailer. The cottage is entered through an outside lobby which once contained the original mill wheel. This area provides space for coats, laundry facilities and a timber built sauna. The front door opens into the open-plan living room with neat galley kitchen, dining suite and cosy seating area facing the wood burning stove. Patio doors open onto the outdoor seating area overlooking the paddock and the hot tub. Carpeted stairs lead up to the landing, a fully tiled bathroom and the very spacious bedroom with double bed and tranquil views over the surrounding countryside. A wealth of public footpaths from the door make dog walking and exploring an easy pleasure.

About the Owner

We live in a tranquil rural area, perfect for exercising our labrador who keep us fairly fit walking the many local footpaths. We enjoy exploring the nearby coastal footpaths and coming home to relax. David, an Independant Financial Advisor, enjoys vegetable and fruit gardening, shooting and archery, and Pauline, a former PE teacher, spends her spare time on the golf course.

Spacious , airy , light , immaculate. These are just a few words to describe Millers Nook .

After a long drive from The Wirral we were greeted warmly by Pauline and David and there 2 lovely labs , also cream tea and a bottle of red wine was added to the welcome. Perfect base for your Cornish holiday , great pubs nearby that do delicious food at a reasonable price .

This was our second visit to Cornwall and it won't be our last .

Porthleven is glorious as is Coverak both have great beaches and good walks with stunning views.

Our Springer Riley loved to bounce around in the paddock and was safe in the grounds as there is no traffic to worry about.

All in all the perfect place to stay .

Thanks Pauline and David can't wait to return next year.

Wonderful Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Millers Nook for a week in August 2015 and had a Wonderful time. Pauline greeted us on arrival and helped us settle in. We loved the property and found the rooms to be more spacious than they looked in the pictures. Also relaxing in the hot tub after a few hours rounded off a perfect day in Cornwall. Our only regret was that we only booked 1 week instead of 2.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your kind review. It's good to know that you found the accommodation spacious; it's a bit of a tardis! It's always nice to relax and take advantage of the late evening sun in the hot tub, so glad you enjoyed it after your busy days.

Peace and Tranquility.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Millers Nook the first week of August 2014 and had wonderfully relaxing time. The accommodation is lovely, in a beautiful rural setting and Pauline & David are the perfect hosts, (along with their two gorgeous labradors, Daisy and Bart). It is just a short drive into Falmouth, but would recommend the 'park and float' service, with quite limited parking in the town. There are lots of other attractions close by, with beautiful beaches, coastal walks, lovely gardens, golf courses (speak to Pauline) and a myriad of pubs, restaurants, shopping and art galleries within easy reach, along with an abundance of water based activities and excursions in keeping with the area's maritime history. Another place highly recommended, virtually next door, is the Waymarker restaurant, with lovely food and a friendly service.

The Perfect Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Millers Nook is the ideal base for a holiday in West Cornwall. This warm and very comfortable cottage is the perfect base for a break. Good shops and excellent pub within 5-10 mins drive make it especially convenient, and both are easily reachable through a wonderful woodland walk, making it ideal for dog owners. It is also located midway between Helston and Falmouth, each of which have their unique attractions, as well as wonderful beaches and coastal walks in every direction.

It was so good we have already booked for next year, (as do many other guests). It is the perfect 'away from it all' country cottage, and if you are looking for peace and quiet, look no forther. Millers Nook is unbeatable.

From the Owner

We fell in love with this property when we visited it many years ago with friends, never dreaming that we would one day own it. We especially enjoy the peace and quiet, the country living, being close to nature and watching birds. It's great to have such easy access to the sea and to be able to observe its many moods through the changing seasons. There are plenty of amenities near at hand, entertainment, great dining, but best of all a comfy retreat to retire to.
