You will love staying here - be it in winter for skiing in the superb Trois Vallees area or in summer for hiking and climbing. The apartment building is attractively built in wood and has plenty of parking as well as skis and ski boots storage space in the basement. We are right next door to a bakery for your early morning fresh bread and croissants and only a short walk from the lifts and the beautiful village of Le Praz.

About the Owner

I own this apartment with my sister, Angela Wainwright. It is our private home as well as rented out for some weeks in the year. It is also used by our families in the summer and autumn for hiking and climbing trips.

My sister and I both love skiing and the mountains at all times of the year as do our children. We looked at various places in the Tarentaise region of the French Alps and settled on the beautiful village of Le Praz, 1300 Courchevel because it combined the reality of an ancient Alpine village with the convenience of entry directly and swiftly into the Trois Vallee lift system. Both summer and winter the village is a delight! Superb bars and restaurants, a convenient supermarket, and bakery right next door to the apartment. But the real reason for choosing here was the VIEW - unobstructed right across the Bozel Valley to Mont Jovet opposite - we could sit and look at that view morning, noon and night and not get bored of it.

Nearest Airport : Lyon at 200 Kilometres Nearest Train : Moutiers at 25 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Trois Vallees Car: not necessary


Lyon and Grenoble airports are a similar distance away about 2 hours by car or bus. Geneva Airport is also convenient and about 2.5 hours' drive.

This is usually done by email or by telephone to me, William Barney. Once you are decided I ask for a 20% deposit by cheque or bank transfer and then ask you to pay 100% at least EIGHT weeks before you arrival.
Your deposit is returned AFTER you leave the apartment and on inspection by our cleaners.

Sunday but we are very happy to be flexible on this

It is a short walk to the lifts and the Le Praz village, we have the convenience of a large car parking area, a garage and a "cave" for skis all under our own apartment. The bakery is next door for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. The apartment is really nice to be in...large kitchen,dining space and three biggish bedrooms, two loos and two bath/shower rooms. It feels really comfortable when we are there. And did I mention the VIEW...
