About Sharon Fleming

My name is Sharon, originally from Australia but I have lived and worked in Chelsea for over 20 years and I know London, Chelsea and the surrounding area well. I also have two teenage boys who grew up in Chelsea, so I understand the needs of travelling families. My partner owns the hotel across the road from the apartment so this is another contact for our guests. We love London and do our very best to make sure our guests have a comfortable enjoyable stay.

Sharon Fleming purchased this apartment in 1996

Why Sharon Fleming chose Kensington and Chelsea

I bought this apartment because I love Chelsea, an exclusive area of London. It is 2 minutes walk from the Kings Road with shopping, restaurants, 2 cinemas and the occasional sighting of the area's celebrity residents! Many buses take you to Sloane Square and South Kensington tube stations (10-15 minutes walk) with direct links to the West End and Oxford street shopping. There are three supermarkets five to ten minutes walk away.

The Thames River is 2 minutes walk with scenic river walks. Peaceful Battersea park is just across Albert Bridge for walks, jogging, children's playground, boating lake in summer or relaxing in the lakeside café.

It is also an ideal location for the Chelsea Flower Show, the Natural History and Science Museums and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

What makes this apartment unique

This Victorian lower ground floor apartment is just off the Kings Road in lovely, safe Chelsea. It has bay windows at the front to let in lots of light. Therefore this apartment offers more flexibility than others with extra beds for families and extra living space than smaller apartments. The garden terrace is perfect for relaxing after a busy day sight seeing.

Fabulous location and lovely garden

  • 5 of 5

This was an excellent apartment for my husband, myself and our 15-year-old granddaughter. It was minutes from the Albert Bridge and a bus stop and a speedy 15-minute walk to the south Kensington tube station. It is a short walk to several museums, too.

While it is a basement location, the large windows and terrific garden made it feel welcoming and light.

Great amenities from the kitchen to the washer to the excellent wifi.

We also enjoyed the neighborhood and ate twice in three days at Made In Italy, once with all three of our suitcases and they still took us in with open arms.

In addition to the lovely apartment, Sharon was great to work with, providing quick replies to every request.

It is a great place to stay.

Felt like home, in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

Sharon and Brian welcomed us with eggs, bread, coffee and tea. So nice to arrive to those essentials after a long travel day. We are a family of four, with two kids age 11 and 5. The location suited all of us, including a short walk to Battersea Park for the kids, and museums nearby. Large, basement flat was nice and cool during the heatwave that happened during our visit! Grateful for that!

Terrific location and plenty of light

  • 4 of 5

Even before we arrived, Sharon made us feel welcomed and answered our questions. The photos are accurate yet don't convey the total amount of space which is more than we expected; great value for this neighborhood. Having stayed at several other rental properties, we particularly appreciated how many lights and outlets there were. It was also a delightful to arrive to some basics in the refrigerator. Although plenty to do right in the neighborhood, location couldn't be better for multiple bus routes and two Underground stations. Recommend highly.

Great place to spend the week in London

  • 5 of 5

This location was perfect for our trip to London. It was on a quiet street but there were restaurants and shops just two blocks away. We were able to catch busses at the top and bottom of the street to get us anywhere we needed to go, even to the tube stations. The apartment was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week and the washer and dryer were a plus. Friends that traveled and stayed in hotels complained about how small their rooms were so we felt lucky to find such a great location for our vacation.

A really comfortable, well appointed and spacious flat, packed with everything for a great holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time, the flat made a fantastic base for exploring, its 15 minutes walk to Battersea Park, 15 minute walk down the King's Road to the nearest Tube station. The bike stop is right behind the house so we cycled everywhere. The flat was much bigger than we had thought, with two very large bedrooms and loads of space for us all. There was everything we needed for the holiday and loads of extras; guidebooks, DVD's, books, magazines, maps and a lovely welcome with team, milk, jam and bread all ready for us to settle in. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it very highly.
