This Victorian lower ground floor apartment is just off the Kings Road in lovely, safe Chelsea. It has bay windows at the front to let in lots of light. All windows are secondary glazed so it is quiet and cosy. Oakley Street leads down to Albert bridge, the prettiest bridge in London, which spans the River Thames to Battersea Park. There is a modern kitchen with granite work surface,dishwasher and appliances, a comfortable lounge with a double sofa bed, separate sitting area for reading or work, two double bedrooms with a pull out bed in the twin room and one bathroom. The garden terrace is perfect for relaxing after a busy day sight seeing. Sloane Square and and South Kensington tube stations are 10-15 minutes walk away, 2 minutes walk to 6 bus routes from where you can get to all areas of London. Great supermarkets are within 3 minutes walk and the area has fantastic pubs, restaurants and bars. We lived in this area for 16 years and loved it so can give travel tips for a great stay

My name is Sharon, originally from Australia but I have lived and worked in Chelsea for over 20 years and I know London, Chelsea and the surrounding area well. I also have two teenage boys who grew up in Chelsea, so I understand the needs of travelling families. My partner owns the hotel across the road from the apartment so this is another contact for our guests. We love London and do our very best to make sure our guests have a comfortable enjoyable stay.

Why Sharon Fleming chose Chelsea

I bought this apartment because I love Chelsea, an exclusive area of London. It is 2 minutes walk from the Kings Road with shopping, restaurants, 2 cinemas and the occasional sighting of the area's celebrity residents! Many buses take you to Sloane Square and South Kensington tube stations (10-15 minutes walk) with direct links to the West End and Oxford street shopping. There are three supermarkets five to ten minutes walk away.

The Thames River is 2 minutes walk with scenic river walks. Peaceful Battersea park is just across Albert Bridge for walks, jogging, children's playground, boating lake in summer or relaxing in the lakeside café.

It is also an ideal location for the Chelsea Flower Show, the Natural History and Science Museums and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Notes on accommodation: This spacious apartment has one bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with two single beds and pull out bed for a child, one bathroom, a lounge with sofa bed, TV and DVD player, a separate dining room which seats 6 people, washing machine and dryer, free internet access (Wi-fi). There is also a sitting area for reading or writing and a garden terrace with table and chairs. Bed linen, towels, crockery, cutlery,cooking utensils and hair dryer are provided. Outside: There is a small walled garden terrace to the rear of the apartment with a table and garden chairs. This is an ideal space to relax after busy days sight seeing. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided. Bedding is changed once a week. Cleaning is included in the price. Other: The separate dining room seats 6 people. Great location

Great location close to Battersea park, bus routes, museums, and shopping. A very comfortable apartment for 2 adults and 2 children. Sharon (the owner) is really welcoming and accommodating.

Quiet and central

My family of four stayed in Sharon's flat for four nights. I appreciated her quick replies and easy communication through the entire process. We had no trouble with our late-night check in and she accommodated a late check out as well. We had everything we could need in the apartment and the washer/dryer and kitchen made our stay much easier. The area is very nice with several fabulous restaurants and bakeries within walking distance. We were always able to catch taxis very easily. Walking across the Prince Albert Bridge to Battersea Park was lovely. The apartment itself is a bit musty (to be expected, as it's a basement apartment) and could use some updating - but I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great Chelsea location near Kings Road with two large bedrooms

We enjoyed our stay here with our two teenagers here in Chelsea. The apartment was large enough for us to spread out ( 2 bedrooms) and do laundry also. The location in Chelsea is ideal as you are so close to the buses/cute restaurants on Kings Road.

Sharon was great to deal with and had spot on advice for getting around London. We loved the breakfast goodies that she left us. Thank you Sharon!

Fabulous location and lovely garden

This was an excellent apartment for my husband, myself and our 15-year-old granddaughter. It was minutes from the Albert Bridge and a bus stop and a speedy 15-minute walk to the south Kensington tube station. It is a short walk to several museums, too.

While it is a basement location, the large windows and terrific garden made it feel welcoming and light.

Great amenities from the kitchen to the washer to the excellent wifi.

We also enjoyed the neighborhood and ate twice in three days at Made In Italy, once with all three of our suitcases and they still took us in with open arms.

In addition to the lovely apartment, Sharon was great to work with, providing quick replies to every request.

It is a great place to stay.

Centrally located with easy access to public transportation. Tons of restaurantes and pubs are near

Very well equiped with everything you need. Supermarket, restaurants and pubs are around the block. The Tube station is about a 20 min walk but we decided to use the Oyster card and take public buses everywhere. That worked out better. We were able to see the city and relax on the double deckers buses. The only thing is that we come from Florida and it's been hard for us to get used to the showers and bathrooms in Europe. They are just ....different in general.

Felt like home, in a great location!

Sharon and Brian welcomed us with eggs, bread, coffee and tea. So nice to arrive to those essentials after a long travel day. We are a family of four, with two kids age 11 and 5. The location suited all of us, including a short walk to Battersea Park for the kids, and museums nearby. Large, basement flat was nice and cool during the heatwave that happened during our visit! Grateful for that!
