Barn Conversion With Luxury Comfort And Beautiful Coastal Location

Overview

Property

Updated: 22-Nov-2016
Barn Conversion in Snettisham, North Norfolk, England - Under 2 Miles To The Beach. Burnham Market Only 12 Miles Away

The property is a simply stunning converted carstone barn with 3 en-suite bedrooms in the main barn, and a 4th en-suite bedroom in the annexe. The barn was converted and finished to an exceptionally high standard at the start of 2012, meaning that your stay will be in superior modern day comfort. It is quietly located in a rural setting adjacent to fields with sheep and horses, with enclosed walled gardens surrounding the barn. The award winning Rose and Crown pub (just named UK Pub of the Year 2015!), Old Bank Bistro and village amenities are within walking distance of this peaceful setting. The royal estate of Sandringham is 3 miles away, and the delightful Georgian village of Burnham Market is only 12 miles away. There is a nearby RSPB reserve close to the beach and this is an excellent location for watching the pink-footed Norfolk geese roost. King’s Lynn is just 12 miles away with regular trains to London taking under two hours, and there are many recommended golf courses nearby.

In the light of more and more people deciding to take their holidays in the UK, this property offers it's guests fantastic value for money. The 'freedom' of self catering and having everyone together in a spacious, high quality accommodation where each bedroom has its own bathroom, has become a very popular modern way of taking a holiday.

Fantastic property and location

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful property and location. The property itself was beautifully furnished, very clean and maintained to a very high standard.

The location was perfect and very peaceful,we didn't need to do too much traveling for some lovely days out, these included visits to the Sandringham Estate and Blickling house and gardens. There are also some beautiful beaches very close by too.

All the family found this holiday extremely relaxing and it is certainly a property we would recommend and somewhere we would love to visit again in the future.

Antlers retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed at Antlers retreat with other family members. The accommodation was spacious and well equipped. There was also a separate annexe which provided useful extra accommodation.

Antlers retreat was well located to explore north Norfolk. On the doorstep was a deer park which we visited and had the opportunity to bottle feed the lambs and the chance to get up close to the herd of deer.We also visited Cromer, hunstanton and Kings Lynn which were all worth a visit and also the sandringham estate .we took the opportunity to visit the house, the museum and the church and explore the beautiful grounds.

We had a very enjoyable holiday and would possibly go back again in the future.

Antlers Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Antlers Retreat was a real delight to stay at. The peaceful setting, beautiful, immaculate and spacious ccommodation together with quality furnishing made it a perfect choice for us to spend a relaxing and comfortable holiday as a three generation family. Everything had been thought of and we could not ask for more. The surrounding district was perfect with the charming village of Snettisham a short walk from the barn. A friendly local store could provide day to day essentials while supermarkets were available a short drive from the village. The Rose and Crown just a few minutes walk from the barn offered good quality meals and a pleasant walled garden to relax in. The Old Bank, a charming coffee shop and evening bistro, reopened after a full refurbishment during our stay. We enjoyed an excellent meal there also. Simon was fantastic to work with as nothing was too much trouble. All in all an excellent choice for us and we are very happy to recommend to friends and family.

Wonderfully spacious and welcoming

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful barn conversion which has been furnished to a very high standard. It was very spacious, we are a party of 2 famillies and there was more than enough space for us to have a great holiday without feeling on top of each other. It was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived and there were lots of nice touches like the large American style fridge and games to keep us amused. The walled garden was beautiful, unfortunely the weather didnt allow us to make the most of this, although we were lucky enough to have one afternoon/evening in the sun. We visited a local windmill where the children made bread and also Sandringham both very close and well worth a visit. The barn owner was great with correspondence, always answering emails promptly and providing lots of information. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in Norfolk and sincerely hope to be returning for another break shortly.

Fantastic stay in Norfolk

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant stay at Antlers Retreat as a group of 8 adults. The house surpassed expectation and was perfect for our group. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with lots of lovely added touches, such as beach towels available for use and lots of puzzles and games available. The location was perfect - the house is very private with a lovely garden with a bbq, a short walk to the village, and an easy drive to various beaches. Highly recommended.

Location

From the Owner

The property is a family house in a part of the country we adore. We recently bought the house to use for family breaks and also holiday lets, we have therefore furnished the house as if it was our main house. The North Norfolk Coast is a stunning part of the country, and has something to offer all. Whether it is a walk along one of the beautiful beaches, enjoying a cosy meal in one of the many 5 star restaurants in the area or just ambling around the boutiques or stately homes.
