Family Friendly: garden, trampoline, table tennis, animals. Great walking & cycling. Lots to do whatever the weather!
Framley Cottage is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Longnor, and within easy reach of the historic Shropshire towns of Ludlow (30 minutes), Shrewsbury (20 minutes) Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ironbridge and is the perfect spot to enjoy all the attractions of Shropshire. Cyclists will find that there are a range of interesting routes to suit all ages and levels of fitness and we will be delighted to share with you some of our favourites!
The house is bright as well as cosy and a real home from home. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with bunk beds. The sitting room has a wood-burning stove, TV and DVD. The kitchen is well equipped including dishwasher, cooker and microwave and there is a separate utility room with washing machine.
Children of all ages are welcome. The house has a small private garden with table and chairs but children are welcome to share our own family climbing frame and trampoline. You can also play table tennis and badminton. In a field at the end of the garden we generally have a few ponies and some pigs or lambs (depending on the season)!
There are a few local pubs / restaurants and a farm shop and 'village shop' within a couple of miles. This is essentially a quiet village location where there are few sounds to disturb except for birds in the trees!
The Shropshire Hills 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' is on our doorstep and there are many wonderful places to visit and views to admire, whether on foot, bike or by car.
Shrewsbury and Ludlow are well worth a visit and have many independent restaurants and shops as well as some lovely Tudor streets. Ludlow also has an outdoor market on several days of the week. From May onwards there are many cultural, agricultural and music festivals such as the Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Shrewsbury Flower Show, Shrewsbury International Street Theatre Festival, Ludlow Fringe Festival, Church Stretton Arts Festival to name but a few! (for more details check (www.shropshiretourism.co.uk).

About the Owner
We,Sophie, Mark, Kate (aged 14) and Louis (aged 12) live in the house next door and Sophie looks after the holiday house. We have been living in Longnor for 9 years (although Sophie grew up nearby). Relaxing and comfortable
We found the cottage to be all that the owner had described! It was very comfortable and well appointed. Although our visit was during a quite warm September it would be very cosy during colder months. The owner Sophie, could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
From the Owner
“My grandmother used to live in this house and it has been in my family for many generations. We love living in Shropshire because of its beautiful scenery and for the peace and quiet. The children have lots of freedom to ride and cycle around and the community is very friendly.”

From the Owner
“Longnor is a very quiet village but within easy reach of Birmingham and Manchester. It is conveniently situated only one mile from the A49 road, which is a quick link to the M54. The area is really not very touristy and unlike some parts of the country, when you go on hill walks you'll barely see another person. We think it gets overlooked as a holiday destination.”
