About the property

Love Cornwall Holidays

Holiday cottages situated in an idyllic setting within the grounds of an old Cornish farm. Set in set in one of the most spectacular locations in South West Cornwall. Just a short walk to the South West Coastal Path with the picturesque village of Coverack, a working fishing harbour almost untouched by time. Much of the surrounding area is protected by the National Trust, with excellent local cliff walks along the coastal path. Coverack beach is just 1.7miles from the properties with numerous other coves to explore all within easy reach.

About Rachel Jacklin

We fell in love with Cornwall after our first visit and knew from that moment that we wanted to live here. We feel very fortunate to be able to now call Cornwall our home and share the Cornwall experience with our friends and guests.

Rachel Jacklin purchased this cottage in 2009

Why Rachel Jacklin chose Lizard Peninsula

Close to the South West Coastal path and easily accessible to the market town of Helston and Falmouth. We were very fortunate to secure this lovely farmhouse and barns within easy reach of the picturesque fishing village of Coverack. Now keeping chickens, growing our own fruit and veg we feel that this peaceful and beautiful lanscape that we now call home offers us everything we need. Since buying the property our families have also fallen in love with Cornwall and have also moved to the area.

What makes this cottage unique

The farmhouse is set in over 5 acres of land with a private drive. With a rural setting only a few minutes from the coastal path and miles of coastline to explore the properties provide a comfortable relaxing place to enjoy your holiday or short break.

We want your stay to be as relaxing as possible. So if you would like us to take delivery of your groceries and put them away ready for your arrival, we are happy to arrange this with you. Tesco, Asda & Sainsburys all deliver to The Dairy.

If there is anything else we can do to make your stay as memorable as possible please contact us and we will be happy to help e.g. romantic breaks, birthday suprises.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Return visit to this lovely place and couldn’t wait!! The Farmhouse (+ Dairy) is gorgeous and so homely - they have thought of everything any guest could want.  Lots of wonderful places to visit from here - a lovely part of Cornwall. We will be back again!! Thanks for another brilliant stay." Steve & Pat, Hornchurch , April 2014.

“The Dairy is an absolute gem of a place.”

Alanna & Lee, Broadstairs, January 2014.

“What a wonderful stay it has been.  The log fire made the cold winter nights feel warm & romantic.”

Aaron & Hannah, Folkestone, December 2013.

A perfect Cornish Break

  • 5 of 5

Myself, my partner and my 4 month old son stayed at The Dairy for a week. Its one of the nicest 'holiday cottages' I've stayed in. Although The Dairy is the smaller of the properties, we truly felt like it was home from home, incredibly cosy and prefect for our little family. The small attention to detail is what sets this property apart from others. Everything you could ever want at your fingertips with a few personal touches to boot. Thank you Rachel and Howard for a truly wonderful week, I hope many others get to enjoy The Dairy as much as we did.

The Dairy

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable accommodation, clean, well equipped and helpful owners who provided thoughtful extras.

Area particularly suited for those who enjoy walking: Cliff-top walks around the Lizard; town of Falmouth; Glendurgan Gardens and River Helford.

Good meal at The Paris pub in Coverack. Likewise at Harbour Inn, Porthleven.

Would recommend to friends and family.

What a great place to stay, if you want to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life this is the place to go.

The Dairy facilities were second to none, the bed was lovely and comfortable. We hope to visit again in the near future.
