Stunning apartment in a Veysonnaz, part of the Four Valleys ski-domain (which includes Verbier), 412km of ski runs as well as some of the best off-piste challenges in the world. One of the Times 'Best secret ski resorts in Europe'. Situated a short walk from the main village centre, 150m from ski bus and 15 mins walk from lift, the apartment sleeps 4 adults very comfortably. Veysonnaz is a charming village with restaurants, shops, bars, nightclub & wellness pool & sauna without any of the pretensions of its more famous neighbour. Local ski area suitable for beginners (2 ski schools) right up to experts - Veysonnaz contains the famous Piste de l'Ours World Cup slope. Summer in Veysonnaz is also popular with lots of walking & mountain-bike routes, festivals & the village Fun&Sun club is very popular with kids/teens. 15km from the beautiful medieval Valais capital of Sion with it's own airport and fast rail link with Geneva.

About the Owner

We are both very keen skiers who have lived and worked in ski resorts for many years, and know what people want from a ski apartment.

I am a solicitor in the UK and my husband is a a Business trainer and runs a wine school in the UK (and very keen on promoting Swiss wines!)

The 4-Vallees is one of the greatest ski areas in the world, but unfortunately the cost of property in Verbier is way out of most peoples reach! Veysonnaz is situated in the same ski area, it's much more traditionally Swiss, and is far more friendly. Our apartment has one of the best views we've ever seen and we spend hours just sitting on the balcony or through the floor-to ceiling windows lost in wonder staring at the mountains. We have furnished the apartment to be our second home and so no basic furnishings and bare walls here - it's a place where you will relax right away with everything you need for a great holiday! Unlike similar sized apartments we prefer to let to four people maximum - that's a bedroom per couple (one with 2 single beds pushed together), and a bathroom or shower-room for each bedroom (each with wc). The balcony......well look at the photos!

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Veysonnaz in the Summer is becoming a great mountain biking area with many recognised routes passing through the village. A must-do is the Tour de Mont Fort route which starts/finishes in nearby Nendaz. If you are really up-for-it the Grand Raid Verbier-Grimentz 121km race goes through the village!


Geneva (Easyjet, Swiss, BA etc) is an easy (and beautiful) 2 hour train ride right from the airport to Sion. Buses run from Sion to Veysonnaz and taxi's are available. Travel by car from the UK is easy - motorway all the way to Sion (takes around 8 hours from Calais)


5 mins walk to the centre of Veysonnaz village. Nendez around 15km, Sion 15km down the mountain

Further Details:

Athough Switzerland can be expensive, in Veysonnaz 'real' people live there throughout the year and so the bars and restaurants are not 'tourist rip-off 'prices'. This part of the Valais region is French speaking.

Cleaning & Laundry £90

Booking Notes:
Bookings tend to be on a a Saturday-to-Saturday basis but as Veysonnaz is good for a long weekend, depending on other booking these are sometimes available. Deposits required. Rates include all linen including towels. Cleaning and laundry charges of £90 will be added to the rental booking. Keys will be available from local agents in Veysonnaz. Local Tourist Tax will be collected by the agent

Changeover Day:
Saturdays are normal changeover day. Check-in after 2pm, checkout 10am on morning of departure

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

  • Notes on accommodation: In the basement of the apartment block there is a laundry room containing coin-operated washing machine and dryer as well as a drying area. There is also a ski locker per apartment - NB. No ski boots or skis allowed in the actual apartment. There is a designated outdoor parking space - some indoor spaces if available Outside: Balcons du Soleil was built in 2004 to very high specifications with particular emphasis on using local materials such as slate roofing, local granite and is clad in 'rustic' style (no shiny pine finishes here!). The front of the property has been re-landscaped and re-planted during Summer 2012 Utility Room: Utility cupboard next to apartment entrance contains coat rail, vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials, iron ironing-board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen including towels is provided. Cleaning service including laundry is £90 which will be added to the rental price. Local Tourist Tax is payable to local agent Other: Good sized wrap-around balcony leading from living room glass doors which has table & chairs (including rocking deckchair). Plenty of room for outside drinks & socializing - watch the sun go down over the mountain tops. Designated outdoor parking space
