The fully air conditioned villa with private pool is only 10 minutes on foot from the beautiful, typically Provençal village of Flayosc. Half way between the Riviera coast and the Gorges du Verdon this villa offers the opportunity to take full advantage of all that Provence has to offer. The villa is in an elevated position and is not overlooked so you can be sure of complete privacy. There are 3 bedrooms sleeping a total of 8 people. The villa is only 10 minutes walk from the lively village of Flayosc with its numerous restaurants and bars - a village which is particularly lively during the summer months but which is equally attractive during the winter. Come here for walking, cycling, wine-tasting - whatever your preferences you can fulfill them here. The house itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable - and, of course, the lovely pool and surrounding gardens are an absolute delight.

Stunningly beautiful property

The view over the countryside was absolutely breathtaking. We were able to relax and enjoy like never before during our stay in Flayosc. Multiple and secluded places on the premises, which fulfilled every need. Even though we were many persons, it never felt crowded.

The massive table on the the cosy patio, with the fig trees surrounding us, was undoubtingly a highlight when the family gathered for a bbq or other delicious meals. The pool area for swimming and sunbathing, the porches or the verandahs for your morning coffee or lunch, and the whole inside of the house, which contained of several well-maintained and fully equipped rooms. All the flowers and their scents... And don't forget about the outdoor shower - I'd like one of those back home, please!

The layout description was accurate and the facilities were top notch. The manager was really helpful and provided us with excellent service. We experienced no problems whatsoever, and would highly recommend this place. Within a short walking distance to the heart of charming Flayosc, you have everything you need here. This is countryside France in a nutshell for us, and we are definitely going back soon!

A Wonderful base in Provence

Nice Villa and pool area with lovely views from the terrace over the local landscape. The villa was clean, well decorated and has almost everything you need although it's about time the kitchen was refitted and the garden (which could be so nice) is in need of attention. We were an extended family of eight and fitted into the villa very comfortably. It was well situated for visiting the surrounding area especially nearby Tour Tour, the beautiful Verdon Gorge that has to have a few visits, particularly if you are an outdoors type. or you can venture to the better known coastal resorts of Cannes, St Maxine or St Tropez that are all a convenient drive away.

Although we did not need for much Judith and Keith were very helpful when required and I would recommend this property to others

Firstly to respond to your comments about the garden and the kitchen: This has been an exceptionally hot summer and the garden has suffered - the owners have already planned to extend the automatic watering system so next year it should be much prettier. As far as the kitchen is concerned - the owners love it. They intend to make some improvements to the work benches and sink etc but want to retain its Provençal style. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay here and that you would recommend the villa to others. We hope to see you back again in the future.

Excellent place for a family holiday

We had a very pleasant stay at Flayosc. The small town itself is very pretty and all services can be found there. The villa was clean and well presented and Judith and Keith were the perfect hosts .

"The perfect place"

The perfect place in Provence. Charming, top quality house, clean, nicely decorated, well equipped and very well maintained. Nice pool area and garden. Beautiful view from the terrace. Ideally situated for walks and hiking. Cosy local village with several good restaurants. The sea and Cannes/Nice within short distance. We would highly recommend this property which we have enjoyed twice already.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The Riviera is only a short drive away - St Maxime, St Raphael, Cannes, Antibes amongst many other Mediterranean towns and villages. Of course St Tropez is also easily accessible - but remember to take a water taxi from St Maxime in the summer months to avoid the traffic jams to this popular resort situated on a peninsula! Don't forget that there are also beaches at Lac St Croix which are much quieter and just as good if not quite as glamorous as the Côte d'Azur!

Travel:

The villa is easily accessed by air (Nice 90 kms, Toulon 79 kms and also Marseille), TGV train (Les Arcs-Draguignan - 15kms) and by road (Junction 36 at Le Muy, A8). Car hire is advisable if you wish to take advantage of all of the wonderful villages, the Gorge du Verdon and the coast. However, the village with a huge variety of shops and services is only 10 minutes by foot so visitors may be self sufficient without transport.

Distances:

The lovely village of Tourtour is 13 kms drive. Les Arcs with its lovely medieval quarter is 15 kms. The fantastic Gorge du Verdon is less than one hour away. Avignon and its famous bridge is a 2 hour drive.

Further Details:

The village is well equipped with 2 small supermarkets, fresh fish shop, butcher, delicatessen,2 bakers, chemist, 3 doctors, a dentist, bank, post office, gift shops, 4 bars 2 of which serve food and (at last count) 8 restaurants! A famous truffle restaurant is to be found in a nearby village only 15 minutes' drive away. The local town of Draguignan is only 8 kms away and has large supermarkets and a variety of shops. Provençal markets are held in the local villages almost every day of the week: Monday Flayosc, Tueday Lorgues, Wednesday Draguignan, Thursday Bargemom, Friday Le Luc en Provence, Saturday Aups and Draguignan amongst many others. Flayosc is ideally situated half way between the spectacular Gorge du Verdon and the sophisticated Mediterranean coast. From here you can easily visit Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Marseille and the wonderful cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Orange are accessible too.

Booking Notes:
25% deposit is required to reserve the property. Full payment plus 750€ damage deposit is required 60 days before the letting commences. The damage deposit will be refunded by internet banking within two weeks of the end of the holiday minus any deductions for breakages or excessive cleaning.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday in high season (July and August), flexible outside high season. Arrival after 14h00 and departure before 10h00.

Notes on prices:
Prices are inclusive of all linen (excluding pool towels), electricity and water. A 25% deposit is required on booking and the balance plus 750€ damage deposit must be paid 8 weeks before the holiday begins. The damage deposit will be repaid by internet banking within two weeks of the end of the holiday minus any charges for damage or excessive cleaning. Please note that there are no extra charges for winter breaks - full central heating is included in the price.

  • Notes on accommodation: Air conditioning is installed throughout. All bedrooms are fitted with good quality mosquito screens. We regret that we are unable to accept animals or smokers. Outside: The gardens are lovely with beautiful views and there is a dining terrace from the lounge which offers fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Close to the kitchen there is a shady garden with table for dining and a barbecue. The pool level has surrounding terrace and ample loungers. The gardens are planted with olive trees, fruit trees and a number of flowering shrubs including lavender and roses. Utility Room: There is no utility room but all necessary equipment is to be found in the kitchen (dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave) or in the large storage cupboard in bathroom 1 (washing machine, iron, ironing board etc). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided (excluding pool towels) and the property is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each let. Other: The attractive light and airy hallway offers good storage facilities and leads to all rooms.
