a couples getaway

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in Chamonix. Our apartment was perfect for us. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Backyard view of Mont Blanc while enjoying breakfast and drinks on the patio. Had a car also, so parking was great. Would recommend this place for visiting Chamonix for a few days to a week.

Excellent apartment in the heart of Chamonix

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was as described, did wonder how the patio worked on the 1st floor be the owner soon put that to rest and although you go up a flight of stairs you start below ground floor. The directions supplied were plentiful and accurate the access worked just fine with MFC supplying the details in a timely manner a few days before.

It was clean and tidy on arrival, took a few minutes to figure out how to turn the fridge/freezer on as it wasn't covered (but was for turning off). Double bed (actually 2 twins but didn't notice until I stripped the bedding at the end. Other beds are presumably the L shaped sofa...can't comment as I didn't try to work out how to assemble it (didn't see any instructions but then wasn't looking.

It's a stones throw from the Place du Mont Blanc and the bus system and the train station is a few minutes walk. Shops and supermarkets also close to hand. Great bread shop round the corner on the right.

I'd certainly take this apartment again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a central position in Chamonix.

Great flat let down by shoddy intro and petty charges

The whole experience started badly because we were not sent directions for the flat. After 45 minutes of searching, we rang the number and were directed, with the comment 'oh the owner' s normally very good', implying it was our fault. I've checked and the only emails we received just had the flat's address, which doesn't help as it is not behind a door with the same number. The flat was well-appointed but with a series of petty charges (below) eg £5 for not stripping the beds. On the same hourly rate, I should receive £45 back for the time we spent searching for the place after not being sent directions.

Owner's Response: I am sad that you were unable to enjoy your stay at our apartment, as all our guests over the past 2 years have had nothing other than fantastic praise for both the apartment and our management agency. Our agency received nothing but complaints and issues starting prior to you entering the apartment ie. refusing to give details for our damage deposit. To date we have never had to charge any of our clients any additional charges. All our clients have been very descent in returning our apartment to us as you would be expected, as please remember this is our second home! This was not the case with yourselves, hence the charges. Surely common sense would suggest you contact myself or the agency by telephone if you were unsure or required directions. Why did you not request directions during your many conversations with our management agency?????

Lovely apartment in the heart of Chamonix

We are very happy with the accommodation, it's got everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great as it's so central to all your needs.

Booking the apartment was easy and straight forward and on arrival there was plenty of information about the accommodation itself and things to do in Chamonix.

The apartment was clean and well equipped making our stay very comfortable. As we have visited in the summer we have enjoyed hiking through the upper and lower balcons.

Our favourite bar to eat and drink is the Moo Bar, always great food and friendly staff.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Chamonix

After searching a long time for a place that really stood out in Chamonix, we fell in love with Espace Montagne. Situated in a great location in central Chamonix, for us it was the modern open space living and quiet gardens overlooking the Mount Blanc mountain range that really made the apartment something special.

Special interest holidays:

While Chamonix is world renowned for its world class mountaineering, skiing, walking and rock climbing. There is however so much more to do, particularly for families with children. The local leisure centre offers both outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Try activities such as archery, white water rafting, canyoning and paragliding. There is also a spectacular golf course. For children visit the St Bernards Dogs kennels and try dog sleighing with Husky dogs. There's also an adventure park situated in the wooded area overlooking Mount Blanc, with tree top climbing activities. Visit one of the many animal parks open in winter and summer. Opposite the apartment there is also the facilities to relax and have a massage and beauty treatments.
