About Sian Tabor

Sian and Sally bought the cottage together in June 2010. After a luxurious refurbishment the cottage was ready for holiday rental in October 2010. Sian lives just up the road in Cerigydrudion with husband Mark in a beautiful cottage in the middle of the glorious Welsh countryside. Sally lives in historic Chester with her son Oliver. Both friends take part in triathlons and enjoy lots of outdoor activities when they can fit it all in!

Why Sian Tabor chose Conwy

We had been looking in the Betws area for a few months and had actually driven past this cottage on several occasions but it had already been sold. Luckily it came back on the market so we could buy it.

Bryn Awel is in a lovely location just off the main straight in Betws y Coed. Across the Pont y Pair and just down a quiet country lane, it's in a perfect location to enjoy a quiet holiday whilst still being close to the hub of Betws.

The cottage is brilliantly placed for access to Snowdonia Country Park as well as the North Wales coast! It is easily accessible - just off the A5 and not too far from the A55 - yet still retains an aura of calm and tranquility.

What makes this cottage unique

Bryn Awel is convenient for visiting the whole of North Wales be it the coast or going further into the Snowdonia Country Park. The Roman town of Chester is also easily accessible using either the A5 or the A55.

Close to the cottage is the Marin mountain bike trail as well as Llyn Gerionnydd for boating and even swimming for those brave enough or with wetsuits.

Guestbook comments from the owner

1. The cottage was delightful. Very clean and modern. We had a fantastic stay. The wine and welsh cakes were a nice touch.

2. Beautifully refurbished - nice and cosy!

Incredible Place and Helpful Owners

  • 5 of 5

We often come to visit Betws Y Coed, but this time we decided to bring our friends along to share the experience and celebrate myself and my partners engagement. This cottage was perfect - it's comfortable, relaxing and it's central - the owners were extremely helpful, informative and welcoming ahead of our week stay. We will most certainly be going back!

Fantastic Find

  • 5 of 5

We found this delightful cottage on the Internet - and what a find! Spacious, modern, comfy, well knitted out, 2 bathrooms (essential when on holiday with teenagers!), perfect location within easy reach of beautiful walks, stunning scenery, adventure playgrounds (The Caverns are a must-do!). The welcome bottle of wine and Welsh Cakes were a lovely touch, but it was also good to find tea, coffee and milk for that much-needed cup of tea after a long drive to Betws-y-Coed.

Thank you Sally and Sian for allowing us to experience the delights of the area and your lovely property.

We found the property very comfortable and very convienient to visit the places of intrest around North Wales. The only problem we had was in the very tight entrance for the car, which needed guidence each time we came to park the car.

Lovely clean cottage, comfortable and spacious. Ideal location for walking and close to the town of Betws y Coed for restaurants and pubs. Would definitely stay at this cottage again. One small criticism, a couple of comfy chairs or sofa in dining area would have been appreciated. Apart from that couldn't fault it.

Lovely Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Walk out of the door and you are moments away from several gorgeous walks along the river and up the hills. Very clean and tidy, perfect for our family of five and their dog. Cosy and warm. Thank you for the wine and welsh cakes.

Great Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We Arrived at this great cottage to be greeted by a complimentary Bottle of wine & some Lovely Welsh cakes which we thought was a nice touch. The cottage itself was ideal for us as we own two dogs & normally are very restricted to where we can take them, however the owners have obviously thought about this & throughout the ground floor they have laid slate tiles which are perfect for dirty paws & Muddy walking boots . The Kitchen has Everything you need , & large bath is perfect for a soak after a long walk .

Upstairs all the rooms (Large lounge,Double bedroom,Twin Bedroom & Bathroom ,are beautifully decorated & Spotlessley clean .

We will definately be going back, and to put it in a nutshell this cottage is in a fantastic central location, its beautifully clean,it has great facilities for groups of up to six people & dogs, & it is very well priced .Perfect
