A Contemporary Country Cottage, Private Hot-tub, Gorgeous Rural & Sea Views

Overview

Property

Updated: 07-Dec-2016
Cottage in Carbis Bay, Nr. St Ives, Cornwall, England - Peaceful, Family Friendly Location, 20 Minutes Walk To The Beach & Coast Path

Brea (sleeps 6) is a gorgeous one level cottage, well equipped and thoughtfully decorated, well suited to couples or families. Our farm has a stunning hilltop location with views to the sea on both the north and south coasts, Godrevy Lighthouse and the beautiful beaches of St Ives Bay. You can really relax in this tranquil idyll, away from it all but still just a mile from Carbis Bay beach, only minutes from the picturesque harbour & beach town of St Ives, it's excellent galleries, restaurants and shops, and within easy walking distance of the coast path. The farm adjoins St Michael's Way, an ancient pilgrim path linking the North and South coasts of Cornwall. There is plenty of space and scenery to enjoy on the farm, including a neolithic standing stone and our own woodland walk with views to the Hayle Saltings sea bird reserve.

A well-equipped, comfy cottage.

  • 5 of 5

A delightful, well-maintained cottage with friendly and helpful owners. The booking was easy with informative emails and on arrival the welcome pack was just what we needed following a long journey. Despite the cold weather, we enjoyed the views whilst soaking in the the hot tub. All in all, the perfect location for exploring this end Cornwall; we had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic family holiday in a beautiful setting.

  • 5 of 5

We have just had another fantastic holiday at this cottage which we have stayed at several times over the last few years. The cottage is spotless, very well maintained, has really spacious, comfortable rooms and a lovely, big family bathroom. The living room and kitchen have superb views over the countryside and are really comfortable and well equipped. The wood burner is cosy in the winter. The setting is so peaceful, feels very private but is minutes to Carbis Bay. Our children love the large, sunny garden and the hot tub was a great addition this year, we loved it after a day at the beach. The house is child friendly and there are TV/DVD's in each room so everyone can have some space away from each other. The owners respond promptly to any queries. Both St Ives and several gorgeous beaches are within 10 minutes by car and this cottage is a great base to enjoy a beautiful part of Cornwall, we have explored as far as Padstow, Falmouth and The Lizard from here, there is lots to see and do. We will be back next year.

Location

From the Owner

If you like to be close to the beaches, the town of St Ives and the key attractions of West Cornwall, but want to come back and relax away from it all, our cottage gives you that opportunity. Imagine waking up in the quiet of the countryside, looking out over the Cornish countryside and deciding where you would like to head today. North coast, south coast, west to Lands End or inland to a gorgeous garden or historial site. Just a great location to explore this incredible landscape, or just to kick back at the lovely cottage in the south facing garden or the hot tub.
