These beautiful and well appointed award winning cottages, each with its own private secure garden, are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty adjacent to the acclaimed blue flag Putsborough/Woolacombe beach 400m away (dog friendly all year). A private path leads to the beach, there is a private tennis court and a children’s play area. Two award winning, child and dog friendly Devon pubs 1 mile away both with roaring fires and great food. The village of Croyde is 3/4mile walk with several pubs/restaurants and shops. Unit 1: Putsborough Manor Cottage (sleeps 4 + cot) a beautiful grade II listed thatched cottage is arranged on two floors with bedrooms upstairs, and lounge and dining room, kitchen, cloakroom and bathroom on the ground floor. All rooms have lovely views over the gardens. The lounge has a wood burning stove, large TV with full SKY channels and DVD. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath. The recently fitted kitchen is very well equipped and has granite worktops and quality neff appliances. Outside there is a patio with tables and chairs and a BBQ. You can also bring your horse on holiday with you, a secure paddock and water nearby, ride on Putsborough or Saunton beaches, on Exmoor or on the bridal paths next to the cottage.

Unit2: Putsborough Garden Cottage (sleeps 8 + cot) a new build multi award winning stone cottage set in the walled garden of the Manor. A 3 bedroomed and 3 bathroomed property is beautifully appointed with underfloor heating throughout, large slate flagstone floors, one of the bathrooms has a lovely jacuzzi/spa bath to luxuriate in after a day at our fantastic beach. The cottage is set over two floors but has two bedrooms (both with TVs) and two bathrooms downstairs making it ideal for the mobility impaired. There is a large family bedroom upstairs with 1 double bed and 2 singles and ensuite shower, walk in wardrobe, TV. There is a large entrance hall leading to the bedrooms and the utility room with washing facilities. Sliding doors then lead to the huge vaulted open plan lounge / kitchen / dinning room, with 42" full SKY TV, comfortable leather sofas, top of the range Neptune kitchen and Siemens appliances, antiqued and polished slate work surfaces complete the picture for this 5* cottage. The gardens are a real feature of this property with two sun trap patios, one for alfresco and bbq eating right off the lounge with its fully sliding patio doors, another private patio with sun loungers for a chill out! There is also an outdoor shower and hanging rack for wetsuits and storage area for boards etc. The rest of the gardens are beautiful established boarders and specimen plants, ancient apple arbour and herb gardens. very peaceful with lots of birds.

Unit 3: Putsborough Manor Thatched Barn (sleeps 8 + cot) a Grade II listed cob and thatched barn which has been completely renovated to form an ideal holiday home by the beach with underfloor heating and spa bath. The entrance leads to a large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining space with a high roof and plenty of light. The stairs lead down a few steps into the master kingsize bedroom ensuite with a walk in shower, large indulgent spa bath, designer basin and wall hung toilet, warm towel heater, there is also a walk in wardrobe with full length mirror and shelving. Upstairs is the second bedroom ensuite with two single beds (can be zip and linked) and shower room, and walk in wardrobe. Due to the nature of the building there is a lower ceiling height upstairs.

About the Owner

I moved to North Devon about 8 years ago because I love the area so much. It is a truely beautiful place to be, the magnificant scenery, beaches, pretty villages and outdoor lifestyle is very appealing.

I really enjoying holiday letting, it is lovely to meet people from all walks of life, from near and far. I take great pleasure in people coming here and enjoying not only the lovely accomodation I can offer them but the whole North Devon experience.

Our recently converted thatched and listed Putsborough Manor Barn is well appointed, with two bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, and its proving very popular with our guests! Our smaller 2 bed Manor Cottage is a listed, picture perfect, thatched cottage Our larger new 3 bed Garden Cottage is a beautiful stone cottage in the fabulous walled garden, both v close to Croyde village and Georgeham village with there shops and pubs & ideally very close to Putsborough / Woolacombe beach. All in the curtledge of Putsborough Manor House with its history stretching back to Doomsday. The gardens and surrounding hamlet are very pretty and in a conservation zone and also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by National Trust land and lots of lovely walks. There is also a superbly positioned tennis court. In short I feel it has everything to offer the holiday maker who wants to 'get away' from it all and enjoy beautiful Devon at its finest.

Further Details:

Putsborough is surrounded by National Trust land with breathtaking views and numerous walks. The popular surfing Mecca of Croyde and Saunton Sands are very close by and within a few minutes drive, there is a path to Croyde approx 3/4 mile. Woolacombe is also close by, either a couple of minutes drive or a leisurely walk along the beach.

Locally facilities include excellent golf courses, horse riding, boat/fishing hire, clay pigeon shooting at the renowned South West Shooting Club, Lundy Island is a 19 miles by boat from Ilfracombe or Appledore.

There are several adventure/children parks nearby, and National Trust properties to visit. The beautiful and dramatic landscape of Exmoor is also close by. The coast line is rich in beautiful colour washed villages and towns to visit.

Changeover Day:

Arrival time is 4 pm and Departure time is 10 am.
