Right at the water's edge, this second floor apartment makes a fantastic base for your seaside self-catering holiday. Sleeps 5 + cot in two bedrooms (+2 on sofa bed in lounge). Parking in allocated space for one car. Extensive sea and coast views. Extensive sea and coast views. Swanage is a great holiday destination for all ages. It is a gateway to the fascinating World Heritage Jurassic Coast, has a famous steam railway providing regular trips to Corfe Castle and is surrounded by beautiful Purbeck countryside and has a lovely, safe, sandy beach. Swanage is also full of great places to eat, and has an interesting selection of shops. It also has lots of great facilities such as pitch and putt, boat trips, scuba diving, tennis courts, pedalo hire and regular Punch & Judy shows on the beach! The apartment is right on hand for the town centre amenities such as the shops, cafes, restaurants and night club. So don't expect it to be dead quiet - just enjoy the buzz and bustle!

Relaxed week

The flat has had a face lift and it is bright and airy. It is well equipped for all your needs. We have returned many times to this flat and we just love it. It's easy to book, communication with the owners is swift, website is excellent. Cannot fault it, we love it so much

Great apartment

The apartment is superbly situated with wonderful sea views from most windows. The decor is light and modern and very comfortable and clean.

Great location for walks, and would recommend the short drive to Corfe, it is a lovely village whether or not you choose to visit the castle.

We really enjoyed our stay, helped by sunny weather.

Wonderful views

Well equipped comfortable property with great views over the sea and coastline. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though the weather was quite wet and windy and would thoroughly recommend. In fact we have already booked again for next year. Swanage has plenty of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, all of which seemed quite busy for the time of year. There are also plenty of coastal walks, and places to visit within in easy reach.

Location

From the Owner

The combination of sea and countryside is a winner. Swanage has all the pleasures of a family resort without being big and brash. There's a lovely buzz and lots going on (Carnival, Blues Festival, Walking Festival, Jazz Festival, Folk Festival, Purbeck Film Festival). We didn't want somewhere that was only worth visiting during the summer and Swanage is just as good a destination out of season. The coast and countryside is stunning. Swanage is a gateway town to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast so it's a beautiful and fascinating area.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Bournemouth at 45 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Poole at 32 Kilometres Nearest Train : Wareham (Swanage from spring 2016) at 18 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Swanage at 10 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The sea is about five metres from the front door. There is a very small beach ('Monkey Beach') next to the apartment. The main town beach, which is sandy, safe and very family-friendly, is a couple of minutes walk along the seafront. The famous National Trust sandy beach at Studland is about 3.5 miles.

Travel:

Swanage can be accessed by train to Wareham from London Waterloo, then by bus or taxi. A car is not essential during your stay as so much is on hand in Swanage and there are local bus services as well as the steam train to Corfe Castle.

Poole Channel Ferry Port is about 20 miles (40 minutes).

Distances:

The village of Corfe Castle is 5.5 miles.

Further Details:

Pubs, restaurants and shops are all within a minute of the apartment.

There are two supermarkets plus some convenience stores in town.

Between June and September we offer weekly breaks from Saturday to Saturday. From October to May we offer breaks of 3 nights or more which can generally start and finish on any day of the week.

We often spend our whole holiday without using our car. The beach and town are so close and convenient that there's no need, and the view from the apartment is so good that you're often not tempted to go anywhere else. However, when we do go farther afield we often use buses to get around. It's still a delight even if the weather's rough. There's something pleasurable about watching the stormy sea from a dry, warm and comfortable seat!
