This modern apartment in Val Claret, Tignes is ideal for ski enthusiasts who want something superior to some of the older, tired looking lettings in Tignes. We have a pool and gym on site.

We bought this apartment as we love L'Espace Killy skiing area.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment in convenient for the shops and the slopes. It sleeps 6 people. It has every amenity, including FREE underground car parking on site, FREE wifi and FREE heating and hot water. There is Satellite TV which has many UK channels.

Notes on accommodation: Apartment is close to to the local shops and restaurant bars nightlife. Yet also in quiet setting. Val Claret is the highest village in Tignes and a mecca for skiers. Guests arrive after 2pm on Saturday and must vacate the apartment by 10am on Saturday. Guests must remove their own refuse and clean the kitchen area on departure. No pets. Utility Room: Cloaks, storage cupboard in hallway. Lockable safe. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Price of apartment includes beds made on arrival. Linen and towels supplied. End of stay cleaning (except kitchen area). Main Reception for ordering bread and pastries etc. Washing and drying facilities in the basement. Other: Private heated ski locker for exclusive use of guests. FREE dedicated underground car parking space under apartment complex. You save €80 per week compared to the charge made by Pierre et Vacances if you book through them.

Comfortable and well positioned

The apartment is very comfortable, warm and well equipped. Its location on the first floor is next to the lift so access to the ski lockers & underground garage is easy. The navettes stop right outside the apartment block and there is relatively easy access to the ski lifts. Access to the shops, bars and restaurants in Val Claret is just a short walk and a ride up a large lift.

The owner was very helpful and I would recommend this apartment to my friends for either a winter or summer holiday.

Easter Skiing in Tignes, Val Claret

We have just returned from an Easter Holiday ski based at Will's apartment in Val Claret, Tignes. Will was incredibly helpful with all the details and we were pleased to find that it was a clean well equipped apartment and was ideal for us a family with 2 teens and 2 adults. It's situated in a very nice apartment complex and is well look after and cared for by the team at L'Ecrin des Neiges. We loved that it was just a couple of minutes walk from both the shops, restaurants and the ski lifts (although as the week went on we got lazier and lazier using the free and frequent buses outside the apartment block to travel the 200m (or so) to the main lifts (Fresse, Bolin, Funicular and Lanches)! Given the time of year, the snow was very good (Val Claret being at circa 2500m and the skiing from 3500m to 2500m). Highly recommended!

Exactly what it says on the tin - Luxury Apartment

We have stayed in lots of ski accommodation over the years and this apartment is the best value for the space you get. Two twin bedrooms plus a living kitchen dining area which doubles up as another bedroom really is valid for money.

We stayed in this apartment for the second time during August. We previously visited in July 2014 and weren't disappointed when we returned in 2015.

The accommodation was everything that we needed and more. Most importantly the apartment was immaculately clean and quiet.

The apartment is situated within The Pierre Vacances accommodation. The staff were extremely polite, spoke English and were always happy to help.

Having returned for the second time it seemed like we knew our way around better. The secure underground parking was useful and meant we could leave non-valuable items in the car.

We were travelling with our 7 month old son for the first time. Again the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A travel cot was set up prior to our arrival. The quiet relaxed atmosphere really helped our little one to settle. The locals in restaurants and cafes also made our child really welcome. It was clear they really want people to come back.

We spent a great week walking, cycling and swimming. There's a great range of restaurants, bars and cafes but we were also able to eat in the apartment with the kitchen equipped with everything we needed.

It seemed like there was more going on in both Tignes villages this year. The range of activities for both children and adults is fantastic. Due to being residents we were able to get a Tignes Sports pass and claim a free lift pass from the tourist information office. We are looking forward to revisiting, as our son gets older and can take advantage of all the exciting activities Tignes has to offer.

Overall I would give this apartment 5 Star rating.

It does make sorting out inevitable snags so much nicer when the apartment is fully serviced like ours. You don't have the hassle of tracing the owner and being passed pillar to post to get to someone to sort it! Totally agree about Tignes being beautiful in summer. I went this summer too, and expected a vegetation-less lunar landscape, but actually it was so pretty with lush Alpine flowers and trees and spectacular waterfalls I never knew existed there.

Fab Holiday!

We've recently returned from a week in Will's apartment. It's our second year booking with Will and we weren't disappointed. The apartment is spotless and well appointed with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids including special touches like robes and toiletries in the bathroom. It's very convenient for the slopes - only a short walk - and to make it easier we left our skis and boots at the ski rental shop near the lifts. We love the skiing in Tignes. The snow is so reliable, particularly skiing late - we even had good off piste this year in April! It's disappointing the hotel won't let the apartments use the swimming pool this year but we drove 5mins into Tignes Le Lac (or you can go on the bus) as recommended by Will and swum in the big pool with slides which kept the kids happy. We can't leave a review without mentioning Will too. He's super helpful and full of tips for the journey and stop over etc. in fact any info you need. We hope to return next year!

Booking Notes:
Pierre et Vacances manage the apartment complex locally. Bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Guests must arrive before midnight to get access. If later tell Pierre et Vacances to arrange keys.
25% non-returnable deposit is required on booking. 8 weeks prior to departure the balance is payable along with with breakages-damage returnable deposit of 25% of the booking fee. Breakages and damage must be reported direct to the owner.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is changeover day. You may arrive after 5pm and before midnight to occupy apartment. On departure, guests must leave by 10am. Clean the kitchen and remove refuse. Reasonable cleaning costs are include but extra cleaning will be charged for.

Notes on prices:
2016/17 winter skiing open for booking. The prices are significantly discounted from the Pierre et Vacances rate you would have to pay. Also I provide free parking which they charge €75 per week for .....these are the hidden costs Pierre et Vacances don't tell people about
