Apartment 4 (Second Floor)

Number 4 is a 2 bedroom, second floor apartment (with lift and stair access).

Inside, off the main hallway, there is a spacious open plan living area including comfortable sofas and Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player, a dining area and kitchen.

There is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a second double bedroom and a family bathroom.

Sofa beds are available to accommodate a further two guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, ceramic electric hob, electric oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washer dryer, kettle, toaster and ample crockery and cutlery.

The apartment benefits from central heating and Wi-Fi. Linen and towels are provided, as are a hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Children are welcome, although some of the furnishings may not be ideal for toddlers and it may not be suitable because of the apartment’s central location; in an area that can be lively late into the night being close to bars and night clubs.

Imperial Court Apartments

Apartments 4 & 5 both offer 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor and The Studio is a spacious ground floor apartment ideal for two. Each is furnished in a contemporary and comfortable style with smart kitchen facilities and bathrooms.

Imperial Court is situated in a side street just off the main Promenade, and each apartment comes with one allocated parking space in a gated, secure, private car park.

It is within easy walking distance of the High Street, the café area of Montpellier, Imperial Square - host to the town’s many festivals - the Town Hall, the Everyman Theatre and numerous shops, restaurants and bars.

Also within easy reach are the railway station and Cheltenham Racecourse – home of The Gold Cup.

As the Western Gateway to The Cotswolds, the property is also a well-positioned base for touring the surrounding countryside, towns and attractions.

There is a well maintained garden for residents’ use and entry to the building is via entry phone or key code. There are stairs and a lift to the second floor (for apartments 4 and 5).

Children are welcome, although some of the furnishings may not be ideal for toddlers. Please enquire if you are uncertain about suitability.

Please note, the minimum stay period is 5 nights over the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival week in March and 4 nights over the Christmas/New Year period.

A huge disappointment!

This apartment had fit all of our criteria when we booked it, plus it was within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and a quick drive to the Cotswalds. The gated parking was great and the instructions for accessing the apartment keys were very clear. When I opened the door my first question was; why are there dead leaves all over the floor. When I started looking around the apartment, I realized that the apartment furnishings were very different from the online photos, plus the apartment was absolutely filthy. My daughter went to use the bathroom and there was no toilet paper...anywhere in the apartment. When I inspected the bathroom, there was black hair all over the floor and when I lifted up the toilet seat there was urine caked all over it. Then I took a piece of paper towel, put it on the floor and rubbed it, and the paper towel instantly turned black. The apartment was dusty, the floor was dirty and the bathroom was not properly cleaned. l left a message with the emergency number as well as an email. We purchased cleaning supplies and toilet paper, came to back to the apartment and started cleaning. So instead of planning our day trip for the next day, we cleaned the apartment. My husband cleaned the kitchen, rewashed the dishes we would use and I cleaned the bathroom, and let me say, there is nothing worse than cleaning a urine covered toilet from a previous guest.

We received an email from Annette who apologized and offered to send their cleaning lady over the next day. I declined because i didn't want someone in the apartment when we were not there and secondly, we didn't want to waste a day waiting for her to show up. As a guest, our trust was broken.

This property falsely advertises how this suite is furnished. The apartment photos were staged with some lovely furnishings which actually aren't in the apartment. Secondly, it looks like this apartment hasn't had a thorough clean or quality check in quite some time. It was dusty, there was hair in the refrigerator and when you flushed the toilet, water bubbled up in the shower drain. Lastly, there was no offer to compensate us for the fact that we had to spent two nights in this disgusting apartment.

As an experienced traveller, this was a first for me. I have stayed in some dirty places but never in my life has it been that dirty that we had to go out and buy supplies to clean it. I would not recommend this apartment or the company that rents out these so called luxury suites.

Great town centre location with place to park car being a bonus. Can be noisy due to local night clubs (but for us only one evening was affected on the Monday). Wifi connection was found to be a poor reception.

All in all enjoyed being able to walk to most places in and around Cheltenham town centre with easy access to virtually all places of interest including the Everyman Theatre, galleries and restaurants.

Out of town visits to Winchcombe (lunch at the White Lion recommended), Stow-on-the-Wold and Boughton-on-the-Water all worth a visit.

well-located property

Best feature is location to Cheltenham pedestrian area. Comfortable rather than luxurious.For people coming from another country an explanation re inner ring road would have been helpful (print off map and take with you. ) Similarly not practical to have to ring for instructions re key and key pad number when only carrying a mobile from Oz. Couldn't locate dvd,cd players ir hair dryer. TV small, but wifi very good. Despite some criticisms of the property its convenience outweighed these,

Owner's Response: Lovely guest to have stay. Would add that they stayed in The Studio apartment rather than apartment 4. We have taken note of their comments about the check in arrangements and are implementing improvements to make this much easier in future.

Notes on accommodation: Pets: sorry, no pets allowed. Smoking: this is a strictly no smoking property, except in the communal garden on the ground floor. Although we ask that you clear away any cigarette stubs please. Children are welcome at all the apartments, although some of the furnishings may not be ideal for toddlers and being in the centre of town, the area is quite lively in the evenings. Please enquire if you are uncertain about suitability. Outside: The apartments are part of a modern apartment block, with one allocated parking space each in a gated, secure private car park on the ground floor. Also adjacent there is a well maintained garden for residents’ use. Entry to the block is via key code (all apartments) and entry phone (apartments 4 and 5).
