Holm Oak is a newly built cottage to the highest standards. Detached and situated in the grounds with a private fenced garden to include quality wooden garden furniture. Spacious kingsize bedroom with en-suite, one single bedroom and one twin bedroom. A large family bathroom upstairs with bath and shower. There is a large shaker style well equipped kitchen, farmhouse table, open plan lounge with TV/DVD Free view. Very comfortable 3 piece suite and extra reclining armchair, stunning fireplace with open log fire. A cloakroom and toilet is near the back entrance. This cottage benefits from oil fired central heating all included in the cost. Top notch cottage with interior design being at the top of the list.

Our cottages are ideally situated in South East Cornwall and ten minutes from the coastal path, perfect for discovering all parts of Cornwall. Each cottage is very well equipped with washer/dryer, fan oven, fridge freezer, open log fires, TV/ DVD and Freeview. Each property has its own very private garden with BBQ, quality wooden furniture and arbour. We are proud have won the Looe in Bloom prize for three years running. Very safe away from any main roads for children and pets to run freely in the grounds. We offer a delicious home cooked meal service, meals delivered to your cottage door. Free wi-fi, log fires and heating, cream tea and fresh flowers on arrival. Resident owners half a mile away at the Lodge house by the entrance always on hand to help with anything. Charming walks from the cottages to the ponds and wildlife that abound here just off the East Looe estuary, kingfishers, heron, egrets and ducks are common sights. Parking on site just metres from your cottage.

About Elizabeth Chapman

Liz and Rob live at the Lodge at the entrance to the estate minutes from the cottages so are always on hand to help guests, but without being intrusive. Our family consists of two adult children, one living in Looe and three grandchildren. We are very keen walkers(and bar snacking!) and know the area well so have plenty of advice for guests exploring this area. Liz is a keen gardener hence winning first prize for the gardens at the cottages for 4 years running from the local tourist board. She takes a great interest in the interior design and furnishing of the cottages. Rob is a keen sailor and knows the coastline well. He has plenty of suggestions for hidden coves and beaches.

Why Elizabeth Chapman chose South East Cornwall

We were very fortunate that the coach houses came up for sale as having lived in the Manor for most of her life, Liz knew and loved the property so well. Rob, being an experienced builder sympathetically and professionally converted the buildings to a very successful holiday cottage business.

We are based minutes from the beaches, restaurants and buzz of Looe but set on a country estate where peace abounds

What makes this cottage unique

All the cottages have ample parking and are set and designed to give each family privacy with peace apart from the sounds of the country. We have amazing wildlife at Trenant including kingfishers on the ponds, egrets, ducks and one very tame fish called Thomas! Sparrows and wrens nest in the creeper climbing up the walls of the cottages.

Occasionally there are cattle in the parkland lazily chewing the cud!

Our cottages are very safe for children and pets being well away from any roads. There is plenty of outside space with lawns and grounds for playing or just strolling or sunbathing. Each cottage has its own private garden with quality garden furniture

Special interest holidays:

We feel we must mention the wonderful walking we have to offer in this area, we are ten minutes from the stunning coastal path. We are near the moors, we have woodland walks ten minutes from the cottages.


Looe beach is our nearest at approx 2 miles from the cottages, this will take ten minutes by car. This is a sandy safe family beach which does not allow dogs. We have information on dog friendly beaches in the area which are all close by.


Use of car is recommended

Newquay airport 25 miles

Channel port at Plymouth is 16 miles

Notes on accommodation: All cottages are furnished with country and antique furniture, annually and we constantly carry out inspections ensuring everything is up to a good standard. Wi-fi is supplied free of charge in all cottages. A delicious home-cooked meal service is available delivered to you cottage. Cots and high chairs are supplied free of charge. All cottages have a washer/drier (apart from Lady Pamelas') and fridge freezer. Beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival but we do not supply personal towels, apart from Holm Oak. We accept a maximum of two dogs at £25 each but we insist you do not leave them unattended in the cottage, allow them on furniture or upstairs. We have a good stock of logs and coal at £4 per bag. Outside: All our cottages have their own private garden with good quality wooden furniture and sun parasols. We take great pride in our gardens and are constantly working in them planting and weeding, we have won the Looe in Bloom first prize for three years running. We are set in an acre of grounds and gardens which are tended weekly by our on-site gardeners. Very safe away from any main roads, and fenced with a cattle grid.
