About the Owner

Liz and Rob live at the Lodge at the entrance to the estate minutes from the cottages so are always on hand to help guests, but without being intrusive. Our family consists of two adult children, one living in Looe and three grandchildren. We are very keen walkers(and bar snacking!) and know the area well so have plenty of advice for guests exploring this area. Liz is a keen gardener hence winning first prize for the gardens at the cottages for 4 years running from the local tourist board. She takes a great interest in the interior design and furnishing of the cottages. Rob is a keen sailor and knows the coastline well. He has plenty of suggestions for hidden coves and beaches.

What a beautiful cottage Peel is, we've had such a relaxing stay and enjoyed the roaring log fire at night. We will be back! Mrs A Heard Winslow Bucks

Don't want to leave this beautiful cottage and surroundings, loved our evening walks to feed the ducks on the ponds. Slept so well in the very comfortable beds! Sue and Paul Brownless Royston Herts

Absolutely perfect

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cottage for a quick winter get-away and found it to be perfect for what we wanted. The cottage was very clean and well equipped and the owners were friendly and welcoming. We especially loved the cornish cream tea left out for our arrival! It was lovely sitting around the cosy log fire playing games and just relaxing. The grounds were perfect for our dog to safely play and run around. Looe is very close by and a beautiful part of the world. Thank you we had a wonderful break and would highly recommend these cottages to anyone. Hope to return one day! Julia

A Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what a fantastic property and location! Stayed at Peel Cottage in August with my husband and two children, the weather was lovely which meant we could enjoy the superb private cottage garden. The scent of lavender and all the beautiful butterflies was simply a delight to come back to after a day out sightseeing. The cottage itself felt really homely and had lovely character, it was very clean. The owners made us feel very welcome and the cream tea was heavenly. The wildlife doesn't stop at the butterflies, the children were amazed to see a deer cross the driveway, to hear an owl in the trees and to see a kingfisher visiting the lovely large pond area. The meal ordering service is another plus for this group of cottages, very reasonably priced and lovely food. What a great idea, to be able to order in good wholesome meals, avoiding the burden of cooking on your hols! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peel Cottage, it's absolutely beautiful.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this fantastic review Cara, we're so pleased you enjoyed staying here and of course delighted you got a sighting of the deer in the drive. Our gardens are now turning into reds and oranges but the lavender is still blooming, not for much longer though! Our guests are now lighting log fires and doing alot of the walking along the coastal path and moors, the pubs have started doing Sunday roasts and Jane is still as busy as ever with her popular 'meals to the door' service. We now have more ducks than ever on the pond and the kingfisher has successfully bred this season so a few more flashes of blue darting across the water!

Restful retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have just returned from a restful stay at offerd cottage, Liz was very friendly, popping in to see if we had settled in and recommending places for us to visit. The cottage itself was well presented and spotlessly clean. The whole place has a very relaxed manner to it .The scones, jam and cream as a welcome was a lovely touch .

Owner's Response: Thank you Lisa, we loved having you to stay and hope your son had a good rest before starting life at unniversity! We thought your little dog from Battersea was gorgeous and no trouble at all, he can have a home here anytime! So pleased you enjoyed the cottage and grounds, the cream teas are made extra special with homemade jam and hope you're tucking into the jars you took home!

Lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Lady Pamela's cottage for one week, both myself and my husband had a lovely holiday here. We hadn't been to Cornwall for some years and shall be returning again. The cottage was as the description and photos, the grounds are amazing and very quiet and peaceful. Looe isn't that far from many other places, we visited Polpero, Talland and Plymouth, also went to the Eden Project which is worth a visit. Liz the owner was lovely, very friendly and there if you needed any thing..

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your fantastic review of Lady Pamela's Cottage, it is a wonderful business to run. We always try to be here for our guests, maybe to suggest places or walks or even where to eat, we're expert at that! Hope you tried the home cooking that is delivered to your door! It was great to meet you both and felt so pleased you spent time in the garden relaxing in the fantastic summer weather we're having.

A beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic week in a beautiful place. Liz and Rob are the best hosts ever. Everything was just right including the weather. We will be back for sure. The cottages are very well kept and clean. A highly recommendable place for people who are looking for something special. The description of the location and layout is understated. Finding the property was not that easy especially when using navigation systems; only after looking in a good map we were able to our way. Looe and the region have plenty to offer and the stay was really worth every penny.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much Mr Mitchell for your very kind comments, we loved having you and your wife to stay! We have had a good season with lots of compliments about our cottages. Next year we will be adding a German page as we have many Germans and Austrians coming here. We have had many families here who love coming down to feed and ducks and fishing for crabs in the river!

Location

From the Owner

We were very fortunate that the coach houses came up for sale as having lived in the Manor for most of her life, Liz knew and loved the property so well. Rob, being an experienced builder sympathetically and professionally converted the buildings to a very successful holiday cottage business. We are based minutes from the beaches, restaurants and buzz of Looe but set on a country estate where peace abounds

Facilities

From the Owner

All the cottages have ample parking and are set and designed to give each family privacy with peace apart from the sounds of the country. We have amazing wildlife at Trenant including kingfishers on the ponds, egrets, ducks and one very tame fish called Thomas! Sparrows and wrens nest in the creeper climbing up the walls of the cottages. Occasionally there are cattle in the parkland lazily chewing the cud! Our cottages are very safe for children and pets being well away from any roads. There is plenty of outside space with lawns and grounds for playing or just strolling or sunbathing. Each cottage has its own private garden with quality garden furniture
