Fabulous ground floor property sitting amongst other fabulous Kensington properties. This property benefits from high ceilings, original features and contemporary furniture throughout. The property is part of a small, smart mansion block. Situated just off Kensington High Street, the property is a short walking distance from transport links, shops, cinema, restaurants, bars, cafés, gyms and casinos.
Hello - I'm Russell Donnelly and I have owned this flat for some 15 years now. I used to live here permanently but now reside in Lymington but come up to Town for meetings etc. I have recently totally refurbished the property, completely redecorated from top to bottom with all new/contemporary furniture ready to rent out as a holiday or business let.
I used to own my own advertising agency in Covent Garden but since selling, I run a Yacht Boot and Deck Shoe business in Lymington as well as being involved with my investment business of 5 nursing homes in the New Forest area.
Russell Donnelly purchased this apartment in 1999
I owned my own advertising agency in Covent Garden so required a centrally located apartment. I have always loved the Kensington area because of the wealth of restaurants and shops but combined with a more intimate atmosphere.
The location of the property really speaks for itself. Just a short stroll from the flat there is a large Waitrose Supermarket, an Odeon Cinema, many, many restaurants and bars and a plethora of excellent shops plus the tube station is only a few minutes walk away!

Booked this placed in little under 24 hours. No issues and were met at the apartment and given run through of the place. Great place to base one self in London. 5 minute walk to tube and plethora of restaurants- all with gluten free options for daughter. 2 adults and 3 kids- very comfortable. Would recommend to family of five wanting a comfortable stay in London.
“Excellent Landlord, Lovely Property”

I stayed at this property twice in 2013 and both times were a lovely experience. The owner of the property is very fair, friendly and helpful before entering the property and upon arrival we found the house to be very clean.
The property was a perfect location and suited our family very well.
I have no complaints with Abingdon Mansion and would definitely stay again.
“Terrific Holiday Flat”
5 of 5 starsReviewed January 14, 2014 for a stay in November 2013
I booked this Flat for a girls trip in November and had a fanastic experience. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, but is surrounded by excellent shopping and restaurants on Kensington High Street. It is also a quick 10 minute walk to the Tube station which makes getting around London a breeze.
The owners were fantastic to work with and very accomodating for my group. They were extremely helpful in getting us into the flat when we needed to and left behind a great set of recommendations for local restaurants and pubs. The house is comfortable and well maintained with modern furniture and appliances.
Our three generation family of two grandparents, two parents and two young boys enjoyed staying at your apartment for four nights. The location is perfect, quiet and peaceful yet just off Kensington High Street, literally a minute from restaurants and shops, with excellent transport links into town. There are many sights nearby including museums and parks. You were very accommodating in welcoming us in person with helpful info on both the flat and the area. The photos are accurate and the kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. The only slight down side was that we had not appreciated the difficulty we would have in accessing the bath/shower by the steps which both young and old found a bit of a challenge. However, in all other respects we found the apartment relaxing with pristine bedding and towels and lovely fresh decor throughout. We would be happy to stay again.
Easily reached from the airport by train and on the ground floor made the start of a week in London at this property very simple after the long flight from Australia. The flat is well positioned for walking to main sights or for use of public transport to go further a field. It is as described and true to the images, quiet and very clean with good bedding, plenty of hot water and fast WiFi. Although the kitchen and bathroom are very small, the rest of the flat is comfortably spacious. The deep bath, including tiled steps (better avoided in a steamy bathroom) might be a little precarious for the very young or physically challenged. Communication with the owner was more complex than experienced for other properties we used, with some email confusion and wrong numbers supplied, but it all worked out well in the end. We would use this property again.
