Apartment in Calpe, Costa Blanca North, Spain - Excellent Location With No Road Between The Apartment & The Beach

Refurbished to an extremely high standard! Paraiso Mar has excellent facilities including indoor/outdoor swimming pools (children’s pool), mature landscaped gardens, cocktail bar & restaurant with free wifi, 24 hour concierge & a lifeguard during the summer. Situated on the award winning Levante Beach. The Calpe Ifach (Calpe Rock) is 300m away next to the great Calpe fishing harbour/marina. The marine promenade is just in-front of the apartment where there are plenty of bars/restaurants of mixed prices. Supermarkets are within walking distance. A bus stop is right outside the apartment to take you into to Calpe town which is a 20 minute walk away approx. Calpe town is still very traditional with a great old town by the church. Plenty of golf courses a short drive away. Details can be given.

My husband & I live in Poole in Dorset and have a little girl Charlotte who just loves Calpe. We lived in Calpe from September 1994 until September 1998 as I worked for Banco Santander in Altea. We loved our time living and working in Spain and still enjoy going back there several times each year, but when my contract with the Bank came to an end we decided to return to the UK.

Why Caroline Elsmore chose Altea Area

We have owned property in Spain for the last 25 years but bought this one I am now advertising in Jan 2004. When we lived in Spain we lived in Altea which was great but not as good a location for holidays. We already owned a two bed apartment in this block but when our daughter came along felt we'd like something a little bigger. The location of this is great. There are no roads to cross to get to the beach which is amazing and so safe for children and the indoor pool means it can be used all year round. The apartment is spacious unlike many I have been to and has a really big balcony. It is like home from home for us. I really hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this apartment unique

The location couldn't be better. If you want to hire a car you can but if you don't want to it really doesn't matter. There are plenty of bars/restaurants and shops right outside the apartment. Plus reliable public transport.

The sun shines on the balcony all day but because the apartment has the balcony on two sides there is always some shade if needed.

It is also a very well maintained block

Fantastic apartment

Very nice, well located and fully equipped apartment. We (two adults and three children) had a wonderful vacation and we enjoyed staying in the apartment, in particular on the big balcony with both sun and shade from am to pm. Had all breakfasts and dinners there.

Top service from the owner, who responded quickly to all requests and refunded the deposit of £ 200 promptly after we left the apartment.

We can highly recommend this apartment. We would love to come back next year!

4 weeks of total relax

Our family spent absolutely fabulous time in Calp this summer. This was our second time in Calp - and we loved the town even more.

The apartment is perfectly situated: right on the beach, close to the port and Ifach mountain. Supermarket (masymas) is just at the entrance gate, big Mercadona is less than 10 mins on foot. So there is no need in car. The apartment is very well furnitured, spacious and stylish. Our 3-year-old twin girls loved the "kid's room" (with 2 beds big enough for adults)

But what we loved the most was the huuuge terrace with it's fascinating views: the sea in front and the salty lake with flamingos on the other side. Breakfast in the tender morning sun to the accompaniment of the whispering sea - we will definately miss this during long moscow winter. And -surely - going to come again :)

The apartment is situated right on the beach, the beach front is approx 3km long, you can walk all the way along this into the town. The beach is one of Calpe's "blue flag" Beaches. The promenade has shops/bars/restaurants. Ideal for children, lifeguards are present in summer months. Sunbeds can be hired, water sports such as jet skis, pedalos, kayaks are available and during the school holidays there is normally a water floating gym in the sea.

Travel:

Calpe is situated between Alicante & Valenica. Both airports are ideal Alicante is approx 65 Km away, Valencia 100 Km. Car hire can easily be arranged at both airports - details I have if required. Public & private transport is also now available at a cost of 18 Euros per person. Taxi fares from Alicante are approx 80 Euros.

Distances:

Calpe Harbour/marina is approx. 300m away, Calpe town about 20 minutes walk away.

Towns nearby are Altea approx 10 Km (very traditional Spanish town)

Moraira 12 Km

Javea 25 Km

Further Details:

Calpe will surprise you with its contrasts & the mild climate all year round.

The new part ( near to the beach) has modern buildings & wide avenues but these harmonise with the ancient little fishing village and the old part at the top of town by the church. One things for certain where tradition still has its place, tourists are always welcomed with warm hospitality.

There are theme parks for the young outside Benidorm called Terra Mitica, water parks and sea life centres.

Gorgeous hidden away small coves/beaches, great water falls at Fonts de Elgar and the beautiful village of Guadalest .

Festivities play an important part in Calpe starting in February with the Carnaval, where marching bands from all over Europe meet in Calpe. The "Fallas" are in March, burning ceremoniously big statues on "San Jose" around the 19th.

The 5th August is the patrons saints day of the town " Virgen de Las Nieves" with processions, fireworks etc.

I'm sure you will find there is something to do here for every age.
